I get the budget point, especially whenever Marvel and DC release a combined 100+ books per month, but I'll never understand the sense of entitlement that some of these "true fans" have. If you're not supporting the book no one should take your criticism seriously, because you can't vote with an imaginary wallet.

A quick way to save a lot of money is to follow the authors/artists as opposed to the character and ask yourself after each arc "do I want to keep reading?" If that answer is no twice in a row drop it and move on to something else.

Also comic readers are so much better than raw scans. I always buy digital, unless I want a trade I know I'll want to reread.

From what I remember, for the most part no. Green Lantern and Batman were the most popular books around the time of the new 52 so they keep nearly all of their continuity through Flashpoint. The main change was time was that most of the post-crisis/pre-flashpoint lore was compressed into a 5 year period.

Shazam. They has nowhere near as much source material especially for Billy's family, so it's harder to guess what they'll do next.

@firestarlord73194: I skipped Odessey all together. I heard it was getting cancelled soon so I didn't bother. It also doesn't help that DC's continuity has been very iffy since Geoff Johns stepped down from editorial.

I still love Aaron's run on Thor. WW has the Aquaman problem where every new creative team feels the need to reboot them every 3 years. I think I've seen Diana's origin more times than the Wayne's getting shot. TBH, I haven't cared about WW since Rucka left.

It's hard to judge this on any specific criteria. I think Avengers and Infinity War are more significant to the culture of CBMs now, but the Dark Knight is still the most memorable one for me.

It's kind of sad that Teen Lantern on Young Justice is probably more important than Baz or Cruz right now.

Not at all. Daredevil had a lot of pacing issues (especially in season 2) and the Matt Murdock identity was pretty much abandonned for most of the series. I didn't expect him to be in court every episode but I also didn't want to watch a guy with no friends to keep getting beat and just look sad for 2 years.

Round 1: Have him charge my phone? It's kind of an average power when it's not Storm doing it.

Round 2: Internet stardom.

Cassandra Cain is dressed like a female Jason Todd. She already looks like she talks too much.
