Uncanny X-Force # 18 0

Rick Rememder goes out on a all out bash with this issue. The way he blows this out the water, it isn't perfect however impressive nonetheless. With moving angles with characters, and amping up the fight, the anger, and submission to to give up. Just had me as reader saying "no", "it can't end like this". This was a close fight. What well happen in the future, well Marvel is already planning what will become for The Age Of Apocalypse series coming in March 2012. I'll most interesting to see how ...

Suicide Squad # 4 0

An all out riot! this book kicks ass like the movie “Kick Ass”. I don’t know what else to compare it to, no spoilers however you get a lot going on plus a cross over reference that just makes sense to how a personality would act. I love this book! Harley is just a fun character, very well written. I love to see her written like this for now on, I do not want that to change. There’s a lot on impact going with situations slightly changing. New development, much action in this book. And you get gre...

Green Lantern # 4 0

Green Lantern Hal Jordon sees his life before his eyes. & wow! No spoilers here, just intuition, Carol Ferris is a huge character in this book even though she is only in a few panels. To me she brings heart and emotions to the story. Geoff Johns really does a great job with this book. There's so much interesting development. The Yellow Lanterns are just vicious and still on my list for best villains because of stuff like this. I like to see more ruthlessness from these villains. There's a lo...

Witch Blade # 150 0

I just jumped into this read, I thought hmm interesting. So I dived into it, and I found this new reader friendly. You get a description of what is going on, what the character is going through. You don't have to search any back issues. I can tell the writer is very on par to his writings. I am impressed with this book. I going to pick up the next few issues, and I maybe on board with this one. I was really digging the intro to this book just to see what kind woman Witch Blade is. And she is int...

Batwoman # 4 1

Very sexual, very provocative, very powerful message being driven out the pages. I say this is one of the best issues yet. However it just read seriously fast, other wise i would rate this a 5.0 on the classic meter. This series has been long awaiting and now get back that classic touch we've aching since Batwoman run on the Detective Comics series a few years back. And this is got to be series on everyone pull. From the writing to the art you can't help but fall in love with this book. Flamebir...

Batgirl # 4 0

Gail Simone this issue writing Barbra Gordon like Barbra Gordon and not like Stephanie Brown. Oh how i miss the hot blonde. Well I can settle for a hot red head, however this book develops with Bat Girl facing her fears in a way that she can prove to her self that she is strong. And indeed she does persevere. Would of you of guest. Will it was nicely executed and I plan to be on board with this series. It does kick ass, I was hard core for Stephanie Brown. However I do like Barbra, I still am mo...

Batman And Robin # 4 0

This is got to be the book that has surprised us all. Yes Peter Tomasi does a good job writing this series. Yes, he finally made it out the slums from the first, three issues. Can he maintain this momentum? Will here it is, finally we have those priceless moments where we have Damian Wayne arguing with his dad Bruce Wayne and it’s one of those tough bad boy conversations with dad. Let me tell you, this has some classic moments what you’ve never really expect from Damian. Also Alfred play his rol...

S.H.I.E.L.D. # 4 3

For those not familiar with this book. To me this book is like The Secret Society meets The Marvel Universe. I've been a a fanboy honestly picking up every issue of SHIELD. Not many pick up these issues however that's there problem because the good news is that I myself am enjoying this series very nicely. Jonathan Hickman coming up some real apocalypse end of the world arc has me, whomever else is reading this leaning across there seats. I find this series very compelling, very well written and...

Magneto: Not A Hero # 2 0

This mini series was rumored to bring back Magneto as a villain however so far Magneto is still playing the role as a X-Man. Magneto confronts the Magneto imitator Joseph and his former ally of The Brotherhood Of Evil Mutants, Astra. Joseph believing in his role as the new Magneto, belittles yet under estimates the Master Of Magnetism, Erik Lensherr. Now Magneto will have to confront his demons to see where he really stands as a hero. Will he succeed or be over whelm by the past that haunts him....

Avengers Acandemy # 23 0

So X-23 is orphan and has no where to go. X-23 will be cancelled by X-23 # 21 and with X-23 off X-Force, off the X-Men, off her solo book. Here she is, The Avengers Academy. Her introduction seemed kinda sudden with her talking to Hank Pym. It seems like she's off to a easy start joining the team. A great moment with this book is that you get a clear explanation of X-23 history, so that new readers will instantly understand half what they need to know. There's reference to sexuality of the chara...

Grifter # 4 0

Crossing over so soon? Well we have to ensure the Wildstorm Universe is now the DC Universe lets not get it twisted. Green Arrow guest stars and so far I have to say this is the best issue since the 1st issue. However here is my problem, I would prefer to see the book stand on it's own. Rather than hey Green Arrow is around the corner. Bruce Wayne is up the street, and Superman is a block and a half from my house. Now being a ongoing title it's important that a book stands on it's own that Grift...

Transformers # 31 0

Wow! As we journey into the future we get a glimpse of the fate Optimus Prime and Megatron. The next issue is called the “Death Of Optimus Prime” what will be of this issue seeing that The Chaos ended with Optimus Prime standing. Is Optimus really dead? I am excited for this series I really want to know what happen at the end of Chaos, however # 31 is just a glimpse into the future. I will say no spoilers, but if you want the story after # 30 well you’ll just have to wait to the end of December ...

Voltron # 1 0

I have bought all four covers for this book. I also hear that there is more covers to buy. The cover is absolutely beautiful! The creative team over at Dynamite Comics even got Alex Ross to do some cover art for the book. And I was just really happy to buy four covers of something I really love and enjoy. I also have all everything before this series, the 1985 issue # 1 along with the 2002 Image Comics release with # 0 throughout the entire series before it got cancellation. When it comes to ind...

Action Comics # 4 (Vol.2) 0

Grant Morrison does a all out job with all out warfare and it the city depends on Superman against a alien invasion that could destroy or devastate the world. Well, I like start off by saying it’s well written. And Grant Morrison does have a spectacular artist Rags Morales to help complete a great story arc. The rewriting of the history is good because Grant Morrison knows how to make a successful Superman. The adaptions are made to todays generation of how a Superman would act in todays day and...

X-Men # 22 (Vol.2) 8

Part 3 continues with The X-Men team up with War Machine. Now I wanted to get the bad out the way first. Well to start off the battle with the Sentinel. This is got to be some sort of joke. Seriously! One Sentinel with regular Colossus alone is no problem to smash into pieces. Now hear me out, Storm with two to three lightning bolts alone can wipe out a Sentinel. War Machine alone can wipe out a Sentinel alone. So who wipes out a Sentinel alone is vampire Jubilee. Give me a break ladies and gent...

The Amazing Spider-Man # 675 0

Brilliant! I really liked the interaction between Carlie Cooper and Peter Parker. Carlie Cooper being forensic scientist for the criminal justice department comes with some jerk lieutenant boss to whatever he pleases to say. It’s just lightened the book up, of course I’m kidding. But seriously, this is a great read nonetheless. I enjoyed the team it was fun experiment. And fighting a bunch of cultures is nothing compared to the super team up at the end of the book. It’s gotta be Peter Parker sen...

X-23 # 18 0

I like the art because it’s a anime type style with cool colors, and I find it enjoyable. Valerie and Franklin Richards, the kids of Sue Richards and Reed Richards are being baby sitted by X-23 and Hellion. X-23 seems kinda stiff in her character development, that she should of worked her through this early on in character development. She’s a attractive girl, and that’s likeable however her reactions at times to situations just come on save the drama for your mama already. Writer Marjorie Liu a...

Venom # 10 0

Venom the real American hero right up there with G.I. Joe. Well not exactly, it seems now Steve Rogers wants the Symbiote because now he feels that it is too dangerous for mankind to have. Flash Thompson the current man in the Symbiote suit is awol to get back Jack O’ Lantern and his crooked friends some pay back they will remember or take home to the grave. This series has been remarkable great. Rick Remender has done some fantastic writing on this series. I highly recommend this read. I rate t...

Batwing # 4 0

Spectacular just right in the first page, I was already digging this issue. We have here a origin story inside the mind of Batwing. Why he does what he does and what the sad reality David Zamvimbi experience as a kid. He tried to maintain integrity the best way he knew and sometimes we see as ourselves just as the enemy is. That is not the case, however David Zamvimbi journey in becoming Batwing had to be something tragic and ground breaking. Although we only get a little piece of the story of h...

The Defenders # 1 0

Matt Fraction has created a new Defenders which involves The Hulk in a dilemma that Doctor Strange has to fix. Now seeing that Doctor Strange assembles a team. I still not sure how The Silver Surfer is phoned by Doctor Strange, however he is a master in the mystic arts so that’s more than likely how. I still don’t understand fully the dire situation that has evolved in somewhat a crisis. This books seems real secretive and not really a jaw dropping book like the previous Defender books when i wa...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles # 4 2

It was a short stack this week for me, however I have to say this is got to be my pick of the week. Raphael and Casey Jones team up had me in the front row. Applause for this issue. I am happy to see one of the original creators Kevin Eastman to participate in this issue. Dan Duncan seems really familiar with the original comic book and stays true to the art style. These Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are dark and gritty and really come with that street slang. It’s well written and the panels are ...

FF # 12 2

It wasn’t a bad read, however FF # 11 was just a lot more powerful, probably because it lead in Fantastic Four # 600. This issue however goes into a different direction more spinning off FF # 10. Not sure however the series does seem in a downwards spiral. I sense Fantastic Four should be the only remaining title, that this spin off is not necessary because the return of The Fantastic Four. I just feel that this book can be intertwined with the Fantastic Four without having this title FF (Future...

Wolverine # 19 0

Writer Jason Aaron did excellent with this arc. It was fun nonetheless action packed. Wolverine is the most popular character maybe in the Marvel Universe if not the second next to Spider Man. With writing like this Jason Aaron puts Wolverine on top. This read had moments that you can smile yet be excited about. Master Po had to be a character I didn’t expect to have his moment, however he did and it just came out sweet. Fat Cobra is another character I wouldn’t mind to see back in Wolverine boo...

X-Men Legacy # 259 0

Havok, Rachael Summers, & Polaris are finally back from space. And Cyclops has so much on the table, he can’t acknowledge a welcome back in open arms. Mike Carey has written Rogue fantastically as the star of this X-title, She has a warn compassionate side to her, and she has a strong character. Mike Carey has done a good job on this book. And I commend him for doing so. The book is fun and exciting, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the next issue. Someone is back and your going t...

Uncanny X-Men # 2 (Vol.2) 3

Sorry to say this hasn’t much better from the last review. Basically we still have a Mr. Sinister world of make believe that just appears like a 5 year old wrote this. With the Celestial i only have seen them once in FF (Future Foundation) # 3. So I am very unfamiliar with the Celestial that Sinister got a hold of. I suppose Writer Gillen will explain how Sinister got a Celestial robot. The Dreaming Celestial first appearance is in Eternals Vol. 1, #18 (December 1977. Doing my research the Celes...

Flash # 3 0

Flash # 3I have not read a better Flash Series than Francis Manapul for this book. So far this book a been so dynamic and procise on it’s writing showing that this is one of the best books on the selves. Flash (Barry Allen) to me is just becoming more and more popular of a character because of what this book is capable of. Brian Buccellato art is just great, he’s the best artist to ever do Flash from Geoff Johns work to Francis Manapul work presently today. The books is just remarkable, the clif...

Teen Titans # 3 0

Teen Titans # 3 (2011)Scott Lobdell brings in another fun read to enjoy. This series is good, so far I love the introduction of the characters. This book is coming out very nicely. And I do enjoy this book. I have no spoilers for this book besides I think Red Robin And Kid Flash are the stars of this book. Looks like the villain organization known as N.O.W.H.E.R.E. has it out for our heroes. If your not reading than maybe you should. Because I think this is a book that you would just be missing ...

Voodoo # 3 0

Voodoo # 3Voodoo has some interesting turns in her character seeing how she is now on the run. She acts very odd & different to the human culture. Being a alien in her steps alienates the human race by being deceptive, up to no good in her character development. Seems that she has to pay for the crimes she committed and now she is on the run. Green Lantern Kyle Rayner makes a appearance on this book. Being a third issue I don’t really agree on the crossing over just to assure fans that a Wil...

Aquaman # 3 0

Aqua Man # 3Geoff Johns shows a strong in dept character like Aqua Man played very solid. The best issue yet I have to say and seeing Merla come on passionate and strong shows a lot of strength in this character. We learn somewhat more of our new mysterious villains in this issue. As the mystery unfolds we will find more to come. I am just excited how Aqua Man will move through the cynicism of how the media portrays him. This book is just around of applause! Great work by Geoff Johns and Ivan Re...

Batman: The Dark Knight 0

Batman The Dark Knight # 3David Finch pulls this story in a upward direction. I have to say I am enjoying this series more by this third issue. Seems like there’s a mysterious White Rabbit running around and causing trouble for Batman. At first I thought she was a new replacement girl friend for the Joker. But it’s much more sweeter surprise for us. We just have to wait for what’s in store for this character. Paul Jenkins art work is spectacular. From the first issue this book has gotten a lot b...

Wolverine And The X-Men # 2 0

Wolverine And The X-Men #2I am surprising willing to admit i wasn’t really sure about this series. Seeing the great X-Men interaction kept me seated and happy to read that The X-Men are fun to read. Seeing how Uncanny has been lately there are X-Titles you can depend on. This title is one of them I am proud to say. Writer Jason Aaron placing Wolverine in a new position where he must lead is still developing. I mean we seen him the leader of X-Force leading own black ops team to do his dirty work...

Kick-Ass 2 # 5 0

Kick-Ass 2 # 5It just gets deeper, deeper and deeper for Kick-Ass. Kick-Ass super villains look towards the major humiliation to our hero as they do the most disgusting things as humanly possible to our hero. Showing there revenge is just the beginning for our hero. There’s no chance for our justice unless is taken. Unfortunately there’s a lot self defeat in our hero seeing that now he feels so loss he doesn’t know what to do. It looks like writer Mark Millar wanted to take this book to another ...

Invincible Iron Man # 510 0

Invincible Iron Man # 510Matt Fraction delivers a good read for Iron Man proven again that why Matt Fraction is probably the best writer for Iron Man. Matt Fraction knows this character better than any other writer I have experienced. And the villains in this book are just too big for words. I am really excited to see how this book will play out. Remarkable aftermath issue taking place after Fear Itself. This has success written for Matt Fraction taking Iron Man to another level. I enjoyed seein...

Annihilators: Earthfall # 3 0

Annihilators # 3 Of 4I have to say this is a great mini series going on. It’s practically a Avenger Book, even you get the best of both worlds seeing that The Avengers & The Guardians (Silver Surfer, Quasar, Ronan The Accuser, Beta Ray Bill, & Ikon) both get there shine in this book. There’s a creepy little villain that is making a ton of noise. And the consequence of his actions is very serious. His name is Magus he’s a evil child with a smile that can practically end the world. The sit...

Infinite # 4 0

Infinite # 4To me this is the second best book on Image Comics next to Walking Dead. Rob Liefeld art is good. And this read is nicely played showing that time travel can be more confusing to mind, it’s just easier not to think about it. I enjoyed this issue at the same time I just have some questions for the cliff hanger. I enjoyed every issue of this series, so i will but faith in gut & just roll with it for now. We still have a mysterious villain I like to get know a little more about. The...

Black Hawks # 3There’s a lot of interesting characters in this book. I am happy to purchase this knowing that I like what I read. Mike Costa writing plus great art work. Writer Mike Costa leaves a lot of suspense in this book making it a great read. The characters are coming out very nicely. It’s a book that’s really from scratch, showing creativity can be invented. The Mighty Thor # 8 0

The Mighty Thor # 8Matt Fractions come back to write a new Thor character and his name is Tanarus. All I gotta say is so0Ooo far it’s a fail in my opinion. I wasn’t really digging the character development introduction. It was a fast read & were paying solid $3.99 a issue. To me this is unacceptable. You can’t sustain fans when you alienate the price along with the short read. I can tell at times Marvel just makes the picture bigger with little or a lot of dialogue just to prolong or cheat y...

Fantastic Four # 600 0

Fantastic Four # 600A super-sized double epic issue! How we got to issue # 600 really doesn’t make any sense. Sometimes I feel like rallying against Marvel telling them to shove there renumbering up there ass. Cause we have Fantastic Four and then Marvel will continue the FF (Future Foundation) series. Sooooo? huh? I don’t get it. But yeah both series will be continuing since the last known Fantastic Four issue was # 588 we have now # 600. I just wanted to clear the air there.
