Don't know why but I'm always surprised that people are so sensitive about anyone criticizing Nolan, he's obviously just a typical Tony Scott or Michael Mann type director, his work is not terrible but also not impressive or original either.
and is it really a controversial statement to say you don't like the Dark Knight trilogy? lots of people don't like those movies, the superficial "gritty realism" is a very tricky concept for a CBM, and when the dialogue is as laughably unrealistic as it is in the DK trilogy, it makes the movies inconsistent and self-defeating.
also not a fan of the casting for most characters other than James Gordon and Two-Face.
thats your unpopular opinion. Nolan is more in tarantino or other league in my opinion , mann has peak and lows nolan is consistent.
