Captain Ultra Rules. I mean, here's a guy that ain't all that powerful, and can't stand fire, but he's got a great sense of humor, is a good guy, and beats his fear. He becaomes a comedian. Come On, you gotta admit that is awesome
I worked on Captain Ultra, Bushwacker, and Silver Samurai. None were extensive, but I laid out a little bit about the characters, and now they're all on lists for powers
I think that in terms of anime/manga, it depends on the power levels we're talking about. Giant robots, little weird, but like ninjas or something, that can be worked with, I believe.
I read as many Punisher comics as I can get my hands on, and I love the character. He and Rorschach are my favorite characters, because they aren't afraid to fight nasty. They remind me of me a little, that the past can drive you onward. As Rorschach says in Watchmen: "He [Comedian] understood. understood man's capacity for horrors and never quit. Saw the world's black underbelly and never surrendered. Once a man has seen, he can never turn his back on it. Never pretend it doesn't exist." The Punisher fits this description as well, because he never surrenders, and has seen into the abyss and kept fitghting anyway. No matter if angels, spirits of his family, or anyone else tries to stop him, he won't stop until he dies. One man who worked on the comic said "He's on a mission to die."
