I dont see how this is that different than the stories they just wiped away with Secret Wars. They already had Hulk that enjoyed being Hulk like characters.
A-Bomb loved being a monster that fought other monsters
Red Hulk (while i didnt like him at first or his ever changing abilities) seem to like being a hulk so he had the power to take down other monsters (even if he didnt like having to become one to do it)
She-Hulk loved being a hulk and was still able to live a mostly normal life
Red She-Hulk grew accustomed to it quite easily
Skaar hated being a hulk but was my favorite hulk and seemed to like it the more his story went on
Lyra seemed indifferent about it. She didnt like being different but she liked to stop ppl from bullying others or something lol
I really wish every experience and thing that happened to the O5 would change the present to show that the things happening to them have lasting effects. If the O5 went back to their timeline and lived it out now the whole Marvel U would be different. Jean likely would have survived with her new abilities. They could have taken on Apocalypse with Angels, and Jeans new powers so Angel never would have become a horseman. I would love to see an on going universe set with the current O5 affecting the Alternate timeline.
I honestly think Cyborg was just a bad character for the league. He doesn't bring anything new but better transportation. If they needed an African American super hero the should have used someone else. Umm maybe Black Lightning and instead of Shazam maybe Icon. Anyone can think of anyone who they think could had done a better job?
Or Vixen, with this animal power she is more "unique" the Cyborg and his generic tach power.
Honestly, with Vixen, she's basically less useful than Wonder Woman, but she can only use one power at a time(flying, strengthx100, speed). Sure, she could get Hawk vision or heat sense, but that's what Superman is here for.
Here's an idea. If we need a token black, just replace Hal with John Stewart. After all, the GLs are all practically interchangeable in power-sets. In fact, Stewart would probably use the ring better. But Geoff Johns and other Hal fanboys would shed hair over their ONE TRUE GL schtick. The only thing we'd be missing from Hal would be his fratboy personality, which we can give to Shazam since he's such a bad boy now.
I would be ok with Vixen but she should be on a B list team. I agree it should have just been John Stewart. He was always a great member of the team. If they want more diversity they should put Vibe on the team as well. He could even be there mode or transportation if they play his powers right.
This new Titans comic coming out based on the old ones should stick and that's where cyborg belongs. I like him as a JL member but they just aren't using him right. HE would work on another team if they made the JLU or something.
What I wonder is why DC said that New 52 Superman is the same as the on in Pre 52 and now, they introduce that old one.
that was all kind of explained in the Divergence Arc. They have multiple earths and multiple Multiverses and so while New 52 had the same or similar past and similar continuity to the one we all knew and loved (hence being the same) now they pulled that exact one into the New 52 (with the addition of a kid). I can see likes and dislikes for it but im just happy to get the Superman i grew up with back. Wish they would do this with Wally. (and just give Dick Grayson his history back and stop giving it to Tim and Jason)
love the cover and would love to see Dick and babs hold a relationship. Dick is/was known for getting around but i always liked him with Babs. I would like to see that dynamic in the New 52
