I keep reading that this is all Dan Didio's way of still having some kind of control bc he strongly dislikes the Rebirth of DC and seems jealous of Goeff Johns success. Likewise i heard Johns is saying very little about this new METAL event and doesnt really support it, feeling it is taking good talent away from the overall of Rebirth

I would pick up whichever issue puts Iceman vs the Human Torch. Isnt Medusa married to Black Bolt? I know he was kicked out or left or whatever but have they ended it completely? She made it sound like Black bolt and Crustal are together. I would actually like to see Storm and Black Bolt in an arranged marriage to stop this war in the end and bring their people together.

This is horrible. Johns and Humphries should write Simon Baz as a character, not a racial stereotype. The gun is just ridiculous and adds nothing special to the character.

Thats how John Stewart started out as well. I think they will make Simon better but will start out with the racial stereotypes and flesh out who he really is.

No interest in yet more Earth Green Lanterns. I won't be supporting this with my wallet.

I feel like this story line is about to fix that issue. Sounds like they are getting more GL from earth bc the ring knows a threat is coming so im hoping after the threat is gone the rings will be removed from all but 1 or 2. I would have liked it more if they kept the earth lanterns in different corps

Hal be in Green

John be another green to back up his sector or leader of the Indigo Tribe

Guy be in Red

Kyle as a white lantern just bc he is most in touch with all of his emotions or i would make him Blue

Simon would fit in well with the Sinestro Corps and they could show his conflict with being feared

Jessica could join the Violet lanterns after loss of her loved ones from her origin

This was bad, just bad:

The entire CSA was completely wasted. I think you have to look at their participation starting from Trinity War

Grail's plan makes no sense. Her plan was to have total control of a suped up Darkseid that was pretty much unstoppable by anyone except for her (I was confused by "The Chosen One" plan though. Chosen for what? To control the Anti-Life equation?)

Darkseid's entire purpose in this story was to become Grail's slave. His purpose was to find and stop his daughter and obtain the Anti-Life equation

The reveal with the Joker was astronomically stupid, issues deserves 0 for that alone, now it's just moving in to negative scores imo. I like the idea if done right. I do think they could screw the character up royally if done wrong but i think there is good material potential there

What was the point again? as usual only Lex Luthor gained something from this arc, Johns wankery strikes again. Superman, Barry, Hal, Cyborg and Billy were just there.

Johns Anti-life is just stupid. What about it is stupid?

No scratch that, Johns is stupid.

I still don't know what the hell Grail's plan was.. Was she just crazy ? And now she is out there hiding with a baby Darkseid ? ...Bah.

Also, I really don't think Anti-life equation should work like that O.o

Her plan seemed to be having a suped up Darkseid as a weapon (with the power of the omega effect, Apokolips lava pits, and the god of gods then add on the power of the Anti-Life Equation) under her control. The only thing that confused me was the "The chosen one is the first male to lay foot on Themysciera" What is he the chosen one of? You mean it shouldnt work as a power to be obtained? Thats basically what its always been. Its explained the baby can take it since he is the offspring of Mazahs who can absorb all kinds of energies. I am still a little confused on how the baby became Darkseid though. Also i hope (dont think it will) they dont make a story arc similar to the current Apocalypse character as a child being brought up who has a choice to be good or bad

Wait? Did Grail became New Anti-Monitor and what happened to Mobius?

She had the Anti-Life Equation and then put it in Steve Trevor who used it to kill the Anti-Monitor and then it was placed in the baby which then had it separated from him and i believe someone said it was dispursed

@dondave: I know that. But it's still strange that it was never Zoom at the forefront given his abilities

i thought that was the whole point of Flashpoint is that while Zoom has gone back time and time again killing people around Barry but couldnt actually kill Barry bc then The Flash never would have existed which in turn means Zoom never would have existed, he wasn't the one that destroyed reality and that is was actually The Flash

Okay, the big surprise villain at the end, if you want to call it a villain...I wouldn't call it a villain, call it more of a presence.

I haven't understand.Can someone explain me please?:-)

I feel like this was a nod from Johns saying that Dr Manhattan and the presence are one in the same

Hope, Optimism and an emphasis on the past.... so what about Captain marvel? :(

While I think too many people are too hard on the New 52 and say it's dark (I was actually drawn to the heroics and color of it as a new reader) no other character represents something joyful and optimistic being torn down more than Captain marvel who's now basically a different character (different name, personality, powers, city, costume). Even more so bothersome since so many people loved Thunderworld and Cap's Convergence book, which clearly means that there are people who are willing to invest themselves into that version of the character and buy a book if he were to get a series with that same tone and personality.

They cant use the Name Captain Marvel. That is now owned by Marvel and I didnt think Shazam seemed that different compare to old Captain Marvel. I thought Shazam was written really well.

@MadeinBangladesh: Nah he never takes credit for stuff people have problems with like BvS

He wasn't involved with BvS fool!

~MiB

He was executive producer on bvs you muck!

The role of executive producer varies greatly depending on the film. He could have been heavily involved in the writing and film making or he could have simply thrown his support behind the idea of the film and with Johns name attached it gives people hope that it will be true to the characters

I like Johns ideas the majority of the time and i like what they are doing now but when he did Flash Rebirth he said the same thing about Barry.

"Barry is my favorite and i grew up with Barry as the Flash"

He said the same thing about Hal Jordan too.

Apocalypse has size manipulation! Kind of reminds me of ant man

That might just be a mental battle thought, I mean, why would Xavier physically punch him.

I know how unlikely it is but what if the fight scene between Xavier and Apocalypse is actually taking place in Xaviers mind

someone correct me if im wrong but Psylocke's telekinetic or telepathic sword isnt supposed to actually do damage does it? I thought it only damaged the persons mind that she stabs with it. I didnt think it actually cut through anything. Shouldnt she have been smash by the flying car then or moved it out of the way with her telekinesis?

Also i saw a quote from Olivia Munn saying she liked Psylocke bc she wasnt afraid to kill and doesnt mind being the villain as well as saying her powers allow her the ability to make a mountain out of thin air and drop it on someone but instead she creates a sword to kill them close and personal. She cant create a mountain and just makes me think the shouldnt be able to create the sword either which goes back to me say its supposed to be a telepathic sword that just destroys peoples minds.

Someone Please call me out if im wrong.

The JL is about to team up with the Injustice League to take on the Anti-monitor right? I would like to see this play into a side story of that so Superman and Ultraman are competing to absorb the worlds Kryptonite and whoever gets more will have the power to over throw the world. That would leave A.R.G.U.S., Bruce Wayne, and Lex Luthor probably having the largest amounts of of Kryptonite on hand.
