#2  Edited By deffinition

Just finished reading Batman: I Am Bane and I'm kinda shocked at how many of my friends told me this was a bad book. I'm not too sure what the general consensus was but I thought it was really well handled and done. King is really doing some great work right now and its weird that he seems to be underrated.

Anyway I wrote a review on the book here - Batman: I Am Bane Review

Let me know if im in the wrong and what your thoughts were on the storyline.

Cheers

I checked out the fourth volume of the No Man's Land Saga. This arc has seemed to go on forever and there have definitely been a lot of highs and lows. I have to say that I really enjoyed this book and definitely recommend you check it out. There are some amazing moments like Batman attempting to reveal his identity to Gordon, Gotham finding a saviour in the villainous Lex Luthor and ofcourse the death of Sarah Essen. Has anyone else read the book lately and what did you think?

For my full thoughts on it check out my review below.

Yeah far too big, ridiculous, especially how Gotham fell apart so much when he died during the Grant Morrison run

Up to number 88 in my Batman Chronological Canon Read Through.

This week I continue with the No Man's Land Saga. This has definitely been the most inconsistent out of the arcs i've read so far so I discuss whether this book manages to get the storyline back on track.

You can check out my full review here - Batman: No Man's Land Volume 3 Review

Or just let me know your thoughts on the series overall.

Did you enjoy No Man's Land or like me find it slightly disappointing?

Cheers

We were lucky enough to get John Higgins on our Podcast: Watching The Watchmen. The world renowned colourist has worked on The Killing Joke, 2000AD and much more.

In our discussion we revisit how he first became a colourist and map out his early career from beginning as a Medical Illustrator to his transition into comics. It was brilliant to chat to such a knowledgeable creator and he provided a wealth of insight into an element of comic books that is often overlooked.

Ofcourse we discuss The Watchmen, arguably his most famous work, however we also gain his opinion on the recolouring of The Killing Joke, Watchmen Noir and the movie adaptation by Zack Snyder.

This one is definitely not to be missed and fans of The Watchmen will love this episode. It was a pleasure to have John on the show.

Thanks everyone who checks out the interview. This was a blast to do

Yeah, I liked how they used that to tease stuff down the line though. Strange that IGN hated this so much and rated Batman/Harley Quinn higher.
