Female Public Domain Pulp & Comic Book Characters

Some of these characters appear in various comic books published by a variety of publishers but had their origins with other companies that have lapsed into the public domain. Some are based on myths, legends, and stories that also are in the public domain.

Many characters with the same name, appearance and costumes appear in different comics.

Some are the female counterparts to their male characters, are sidekicks or have been written to be descendants.

Some are heroines, some are villains, some are reformed and some, well, defy description.

These are the characters anyone can actually use for their own use provided they aren't based on the respective publishers' stories.
