Brick Respect Thread

Daniel Brickwell, Brick

No Caption Provided

After Star City was invaded by demons, killing lots of the population and leaving a power vacuum, mob enforcer Danny Brickwell stepped up and took power, eventually becoming the biggest crime boss in the city. A metahuman with enhanced strength and durability, Brick has been both an ally and enemy to the Green Arrow.

Strength:

Green Arrow #40

Rips off a man's arm during a handshake.

Green Arrow #40

Pushes two gang members' heads into a wall, hard enough to fracture the wall and kill them.

Green Arrow #42

Breaks a man's hand by squeezing it.

Green Arrow #45

Breaks one of Oliver Queen's arrows with one hand, and then pushes him up against a concrete column with his palm hard enough to leave cracks in it. He then backhands Ollie off his feet.

Green Arrow #60

Smashes a man's head into the ground with a rock.

Green Arrow #60

A gang all jumping on him and trying to pull him down at once doesn't budge him.

Green Arrow #63

Sends people flying with a shockwave as he lands on the ground, and pushes a zombie's head through a brick wall.

Green Arrow #64

Tosses about a mob of zombies.

Green Arrow #64

Tears down an apartment wall, and easily lifts a hatch that Green Arrow can't move on his own.

Green Arrow #70

Grabs Red Hood's head and swings him around, blocking his view and making him unable to breathe.

Green Arrow #70

After throwing Red Hood, Brick punches through the bricks in the wall and stamps into the ground, breaking it.

Green Arrow #71

Punches a hole in the road and flips a car. As Batman tries to climb a building-side ladder, Brick bends it.

Green Arrow #71

Almost crushes Batman's armoured neck with one hand.

Green Arrow #73

Chokes a man as he holds him up with one hand, before tossing him aside.

Durability:

Green Arrow #40/43

Has his subordinates blow up a building he's in with members of a rival gang, and is unharmed from the explosion that killed everybody else. A surface-to-air missile was used.

Green Arrow #45

Barely affected by Oliver Queen's arrows, which can penetrate metal.

Green Arrow #45

Lets Green Arrow punch and kick him multiple times to no effect, just to prove a point.

Green Arrow #60

Stands unharmed as five gang members empty their clips on him.

Green Arrow #63

A guy hits Brick with a baseball bat which ends up breaking the bat, and multiple automatic sub-machine gun rounds to the face do nothing but anger Brick.

Green Arrow #64

Tanks one of Oliver Queen's impact grenades.

Green Arrow #70

Tanks one of Red Hood's explosives and gets shot in the face by him repeatedly.

Green Arrow #71

Tanks being blown a massive distance into a wall by Batman's equipment.

Green Arrow #71

Tanks being set ablaze by one of Batman's gadgets. He claims it hurts him, though he smiles and shows no signs of pain.

Green Arrow #74

Is only affected by the Canary Cry in a minor way and it doesn't stop him, though it's still a hindrance.

Green Arrow #63/74

Tanks a fall so high that his landing creates a shockwave capable of knocking people off of their feet, and jumps out a skyscraper without any negative repercussions.

Green Arrow/Black Canary #18

Says that a load of seemingly high-caliber bullets tickle.

Speed/Agility:

Green Arrow #70/71

Puts his hand over Red Hood's head before he can react, which leads to a comment about Brick being much faster than a guy his size should be. Later in this arc, Jason regularly arrow-times. In the second scan, Brick catches up to Batman who has a large head start and he leaps around on his way.

Fights:

Green Arrow #45

Vs. Green Arrow. Brick is winning at first, but loses when Ollie uses trick arrows.

Green Arrow #65

Casually beats a gang full of fighters with weapons. The comic implies he does this regularly. We see that a hit from a crowbar does nothing to him.

Green Arrow #71

Vs. Batman. Indecisive, because Brick was distracting Batman as part of Red Hood's plan to capture Mia Dearden.
