@unrequited1: Kuurth has defenses against BFR, but i personally believe Champion 'technically' takes it. Cain feats as Kuurth don't come close to almost beating Post-TQ Thanos, fodderizing Silver Surfer, Gladiator (who was explicitly stated by an agent of LT to be operating pretty high) and so. The Power Gem also grants Tryco unlimited stamina, so he could beat down Cain over and over again pretty much forever.

He mentioned that if he gets too angry he reverts back to his Savage persona. Obviously there's more trickery going on here since it's never been that easy; my guess is that it's either due to him being separated from Banner, or TOBA possessed him in that instant.

During Jeph Loeb's run on Hulk, Fixit turned into Savage Hulk after getting pissed at Ms Marvel and then returned to his Fixit persona when cured of the Wendigo disease. This isn't uncharted territory although of course, it doesn't happen very often.

@platinumthorns: More like, people were worried Ewing would legitimately try to include more speech bubbles like that, turning the book into just another political fest disguised as a comic book.

Lobo packs more than enough raw power to make Hulk feel his hits even without the planet-busting bike. Feats like 'taking a blow from an Elder of the Universe' don't really cut it since Challenger was explicitly written below planet-busting for some reason i have yet to understand, which makes me wonder how strong Ewing believes characters like Unworthy Thor are currently.

In any case, i would consider Hulk's bending Surfer's board his best feat as Immortal but i'm not sure how strong Norrin is nowadays so i would give it to Lobo until we get some objective measurement on where Bruce stands physically, but that's just me.

As silly as it may sound i legit was expecting an Eldtrich/Demonic Train ala Robert Bloch's That Hell-Bound Train. Maybe some kind of solar-system-spanning-cosmic homage. Oh well, at least there's that tentacle monster from the previews.

@intothevoid: Surfer says that the flux of energy is emanating from Hulk, then when he's close to Bruce again two pages later, he claims ''now i have the chance to study the flux on close range''. The statement calling the energies dimensional waves is literally in the next page. It would be really out of place to leave a statement about Hulk's true power source in the middle of that for no reason IMO.

I was a little bit worried, but every issue has been a blast. I'm really glad we are getting this quality on Hulk and I love the horror references too, they mix pretty well with the tone of the book. Btw have you read Avengers Halloween Special? one of the short stories is basically The Thing but with Marvel characters, it's kinda hilarious.

@intothevoid: Whoops, i edited my comment too late. Anyway, i think Surfer confirming that the flux is inusual should be a giveaway here. Yeah i'm looking forward to the big reveal on what the Green Door is now too, i wasn't really big on that idea but Ewing is putting a very interesting take on it. He's expanding Hulk's lore in ways no other writer did since Pak, which is pretty cool.

@intothevoid: What he says is that the energy has almost ''inter-dimensional quality'', whatever that means. He wouldn't be the only character to define Hulk's situation using terms like those, Strange did the same thing during Hulk #450. This is literally the same issue where he explains to Hulk, after all the shenanigans, what was truly going on. I think it's kinda obvious that they are noticing something else.

Well, i wasn't aware of that but in any case, i have literally never seen the concept of Hulk pulling energy from another dimension as a thing in comics, aside from that handbook entry so the two statements would still be in the same ballpark. Before Immortal Hulk of course.

Edit: Just re-read Silver Surfer #125. Norrin approaches Hulk because he feels an unusual energy flux, so the dimension-energy waves that are mentioned are clearly not something normal on Hulk. I'm fairly certain they are the energies that are literally killing Hulk on the inside.

@intothevoid: The first scan you posted comes from the time Hulk was a walking anomaly, working as a nexus for the interdimensional energies of two universes. That is what Norrin is measuring, not Hulk's normal power. The second one would only apply at the time of Hulk's conception as we know that when he or others become Hulks they pull the gamma energy around them as stated by Banner in Hulk #29.

On another note, according to Planet Hulk: Gladiator Guidebook, the Great Portal saps physical strength and in Surfer's case, it degraded some of his abilties as a whole, but i don't think it was ever mentioned that it cut off people's conection to their own power sources.
