Just make it the Midnight Sons instead of crowding a solo movie like this. When you go to this route, either the characters ended up lacking screen-time or the movie doesn't flow well...Sometimes even both. That's a better idea for a series, really.
@lordofallhumans: So basically you've got no concrete proof and the only thing you actually has are your own personal speculations? Good to know, still, I always thought it was common knowledge that lack of evidence isn't a evidence itself.
if you fight a person off panel and bring them back unconscious while you're fine enough to pretend to be them until one of your own drops a dime, chances are you stomped them.
Because you obviously know exactly how the fight went even when wasn't showed, right? Or do you also now know if Strange wasn't taken off-guard during the battle, how long the fight went on, how the fight even went on, if wasn't any outside interference, if Magik didn't heal in the meantime and so on? Strange was unconscious and Magik wasn't, that's it, you can't determine how much struggled she has put in the fight based on that alone.
Still, I don't agree with everything that's been said here. Saying that Magik stomped Strange when their fight wasn't even on-panel for us to know all the details is a hell of a scratch.
