If you watch the world burn in the hands of evil men and do nothing...you're guilty by association

If god came down from heaven and said "I was Bob Ross"

I'd believe it.

@black_virtue: Exactly! Jake Gyllenhaal would absolutely kill it playing that Joker. I didn't like it either, it felt so completely alien for them to have been that way in SS. Historically, Harley has almost always been an obsessed victim of the Joker's charm whereas the Joker sees her as a dependable aid. He consistently disregards her presence and mistreats her because it's an abusive relationship. She loves him but the Joker is using her, and once he feels she's outlived her usefulness, he tosses her aside (he's even tried to kill her before) before inevitably welcoming her back.

Exactly. See, SS shouldn't have even had him in it that much. Should have been ONE very short end credit scene with him and her. Harley breaking out, returning to him, and he be completely unaware until she comes up behind him for a hug, he smacks her, and then tells her to go do something useful. Perfect set up for her inevitable break from him in Gotham Sirens. But what can you do WB is trash. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@8th_wonder: That is a GREAT choice for his direction! I can see him as the white-suited, eerily calm Joker who just obsesses over getting his attention, even pushing Harley aside in pursuit of him like he was in Batman TAS. I didn't like how Ayer made them out to be this inseparable couple who loved each other. She needs to be as obsessive of Joker as Joker is with Bats but like Joker and Bats it is never reciprocated.

Warning: High levels of causticity.

Boy. I can't wait to walk around with an M4A1, an M9, some ammo and full body armor on new years. Our section leader said he was gonna bring us some sparkling grape juice rofl.T

Thought that said caucacity?

@black_virtue: Leto's a garbage human being, too, I'm glad that they didn't build it around him.

And ain't nothing in there that I'm ashamed of lol. I do what I want now!

Triple posting though??? Shame...>_>

I honestly forgot about his long stint of sexual abuse to go along with everything else. He needs to go in general. Who thought the guy from 30 seconds to Mars would be a good antagonist in 2016 lol

Jake Gyllenhaal could play a much better Joker than Jared Leto.

Yes.

No question. People really sleep on him. I got a whole thesis in my head about him and Ledger's hidden depths as actors and why Ledger's well played Joker could only be rivaled by Gyllenhaal.

And they would have needed a Joker other than Leto for that movie to work centered around Joker because yikes.

I think if they played him out correctly, as almost more of a psychopathic legend, bordering on myth, you know really trumped him up as a villain that even villains fear, he could carry the whole damn SS franchise. Any Joker could. I blame both Ayer's script and directing. You just don't do that with the Joker.

@the_ghostshell: I could be wrong and Bright just didn't have a great script- and it really didn't :P But he seems like he just wants to take a step down at the least, or back and do some more secure work. SS secured him a recurring franchise and Bright a potential one. Both very unique concepts film wise but also sustainable. He doesn't seem like he's interested in one hitter quitters anymore.
