@darthduelist9: Eh, not sure. Dooku grew from that point in AotC throughout the Clone Wars. Sure, Maul did too, but Maul appeared mid-TCW and at the beginning of it was noted as only possessing the power of his TPM self. After that his growth was noted, but would it have made a difference?
Given Tyranus' overall better accolades, greater feats and superior knowledge, I'd wager he's still more powerful.
Sure both combatants are noted to have grown over the course of the Clone Wars but say yourself, Maul has tons of untapped potential aided by a newfound sense of purpose (which we'v seen is extremely important -> Rebels) so I think it's quite logical that he grew at a higher rate than Dooku, who was approaching the very peak of his power. Besides we're mixing Canon and Legends really, originally when the book came out (2003 IIRC) Maul's backstory was barely expanded upon. He was supposed to be this mere assassin while Dooku's this new extremely powerful villain. Eventually everything changed when Lucas brought Maul back and yes, I think that Maul definitely grew a lot, hell we've seen Savage being totally astonished at how fast Maul was growing between the season 4 finale and the season 5 premiere.
I agree that Dooku's mastery exceeds Maul's, he has far more experience and a greater wealth of knowledge to his disposal. That said, Maul has the raw power and pure anger at his side and as we've seen in the past that could make the difference. It really depends on how you approach it.
