- I never cared less about Barbara Gordon when she was Batgirl, it was only when she was Oracle that I read anything related to her. IMO she was a far better and more original character, from what little I have read of the New 52 her direction is a step back.

- I think it would be better to take a hybrid approach to appease the fans of both sides. Babs could have continued to fulfill her role as Oracle, but now with the ability to do field work under a different identity when/if needed.

- Skill is more impressive than power, one is earned and the other is for the most part given

- I do not agree that unpowered heroes are inherently better, a character with powers (but not insanely overpowered like Superman) can use their abilities with skill and in new ways that could arguably make them more interesting. Also you need to take into account that a character is more than just a skillset or powerset, characterization is key.

- Overall I do not think there is a general answer, it is more about looking at each character on their own merits and rating them based on perspective.

- I have only been here about a year but there seems to be less original threads and ideas then when I first joined. Far too many threads discussing variations of the same question over and over. As well as far too many people who post just for the sake of posting and upping their count than actually saying anything worthwhile.

- I used to at least log on every other day just to take a glance to see if there was something new, its now getting closer to weekly. I'm not sure the last time I blogged, my interest is waning with so little else do do here. Feels like there is a general sense of apathy overall.

- Tried the RPG section for something new, that didn't work out well, but it at least kept my attention for about 3 weeks.

- Still far better than the Marvel boards were when I used to visit them, but I'm left to assume the peak was before I got here.

- The idea that superheroes do not kill is an outdated concept back just like the Comics Code that finally went the way of the dodo.

- The events and stakes these characters face make killing in some situations all but unavoidable, the Avengers should have characters that are willing to kill as long as they have a track record of doing so as a last resort and for the right reasons based on the situation.

I'd love to see PAD take a stab at one of the main titles.

- PAD would not be allowed the freedom to do whatever he wants if he was on a main x-book, do you think Marvel would ever allow him to make Wolverine or Cyclops bi-sexual? His situation allows him to do just about whatever he wants with niche favorites as their fans are happy just to see them used over the crazed Wolverine/Cyclops/Storm fanboys and girls who lose their minds over every potential slight.

- Using top tier characters that are shared with other books and events would hi jack his storylines to the point he could accomplish nothing. Besides I think PAD likes using the lesser established characters and in a sense making something out of nothing as many have had little progression before he gets his hands on them.
