Dark Avengers/Thunderbolts-WiP

A team that General Ross founds in an effort to make his own 'Avengers' that he can control and manipulate easily. So he uses reform as his platform of recruitment. Many members are repurposed b-villains from earlier films, blended in with many new characters from all the Disney+ series.

Bucky Barnes is the main antagonist for the group as he tries to invalidate Ross and his group as frauds.

First iteration- Zemo, Ghost, Atlas, Swordsman, Red Widow, Mach-IV; with Ross & Hammer

2nd Iteration-Red Hulk, USAgent, Jocasta, Songbird, Moonstone; with Osborn & Leader

3rd Iteration- Ghost, Red Widow, Songbird, Mach-IV, USAgent, Red Hulk & Jocasta vs Osborn, Hammer, Leader, Abomination, Swordsman, Atlas & Moonstone

3rd Iteration would be the redemptive characters that actually want to be heroes, and sets up them versus the Masters of Evil

List items

  • The founder of the Thunderbolts. Doesnt become Red Hulk until the end of the first movie, when situation causes him to take on the persona

  • Working as Rosses agent that is forming and leading the Thunderbolts initiative

  • Would like to see him as the warden of the Raft and aftert he 1st failed group, asks to be brought in since he knows the Villains from their time under his supervision. Kind of would like to see him take on the Iron Patriot suit and make an amalgam of Cap and Iron man; a move calculated by Osborne to regain good PR. Unltimately would like to see the suit backfire, and make him into the Scourge persona after cybernetic implants save him

  • Introduced in Black Widow, she is the new Widow created by the Red Room

  • Tactical Leader of the Thunderbolts.

  • When Ross tries to force Bucky to join the Thunderbolts he refuses and in fact does the opposite, begins pursuing the team and doing secret espionage work in efforts to reveal them for what they truly are.

  • Stealth and reconn

  • Mach-IV, Justin Hammers Rhodey, Abe is his best field tech test agent, and when Hammer gets into the Thunderbolts, he insists on bringing him with into the fold

  • The muscle of the 1st team, he is uncontrolable and thus used in only missions where things go SNAFU. Eventually he makes them more snafu and Ross could be forced to become Red Hulk to stop him.

  • Not EXACTLY sure how to incorporate him yet, maybe he gets introduced with Osborne; as there are multiple iterations of the team, he could be a central figure in a 2nd version after certain members like Hammer and Ross are ousted or demoted

  • Hydra agent Mitch Carson grabbed particles off of Cross in Ant Man and could be the source of the Pym Particles uses, but only enlarges him

  • A villain that has an open relationship with Moonstone. Set it up as they were captured on a Bonnie and Clyde type crime spree after they get there powers, leading them to be approached by Ross and Zemo

  • Would like to see her as a Captain Marvel centered villain, getting her power from an extraterrestrial meteorite.

  • Makes his presence revealed in first film, but really saved for the second film, he steps in when Hammer is kicked out

  • Hopefully introduced in the Hawkeye series as an origin vllain

  • Lab Technician for the Thunderbolts program, never really sees the field, so never leaves the group possibly, the character that ties the groups together maybe?

While on a villains team, he isnt an asshole, and thus is a complicated play of pragmatic morality of what they are doing. Could eventually be Barnes secret informant when their schemes go to far...

  • Lead innovator and tech builder, secret financer for the Thunderbolts so gives him more influence, which he uses for nefarious reasons

  • Introduced in the Scarlet Witch and Vision series. A secandary AI that Ultron started to create that Vision finished.

  • Barnes contact within SHIELD, neither of them truly trusts Ross or SHIELD, so they keep their operations secret black missions

  • The firepower that Barnes can call in as story develops, hates Ross about as much as Barnes hates Zemo
