So a "few weeks" has turned into a solid month with no news on when we're going to be able to make new accounts. A solid month of CV slaming the door in the face of new users.

if this is the last thing Quesada does for Marvel then I can accept it. Then we can get on with the business of cleaning up his Civil War mess and putting things back the way they should be.

ooo what a brilliant idea, yes it would be so satisfying Role Playing a hero with a name like Darth Lydia, wish I thought of that one before.

but you know, it's now very clear what's taking so long. It's because nobody gives a shit.

ok, so while you all are sitting comfortable in your l33tness, new revenue to make the site better is being turned away. And old paying users who would like to make new characters for Role Playing are now stopping payment because this ability has been denied to them far longer than was stated.

So it's well past the projected timeline they gave us and we still can't sign up new accounts and the message still says "for the month of feb". Is this really a good business model? To deny new users for this long. This is potential money in the pocket that CV is just slaming the door on.
And no word of when they will make good on their "just a few weeks" promise... oh sorry, it's already too late for that

so we're five days into march and the signup message still says "for the month of feb" and still no new accounts. It would be nice if we could at least get an update, some eta on when new accounts will be accepted.

so the original post said "a couple of weeks" and the maintence message says "month of feb". Well it's march now, well past a "couple of weeks". I actually have friends who are actively boycotting CV because they have not allowed new accounts for so long. I fail to see how alienating new users is a good business plan

so I have a friend who's been wanting to sign up on comic vine. for the whole month of Feb. there's been a notice that during the month of Feb. changes to site are taking place and no new accounts can sign up. Ok, smart move, denying new accounts for a whole month, yah.

but whatever... Feb. is over, it's now March, so when can people sign up again?

people have such a knee jerk reaction to Deja Thoris, probably more so than any other female character in science fiction and comics. Not even Power Girl generates as much static. Naked breasts are NOT porn and anyone who thinks so has issues. Breasts with metal pasties is even more so NOT porn.

why oh why is this kind of art even considered acceptable? They make such a big deal out of Carol getting her own book again (rightly so, she deserves a book) and get the crappiest artist they can find. She looks like freaking Kate Moss... AFTER she hasn't eaten for a month. I swear some comic book artists get too full of themselves as "artists" and forget what it is they're supposed to be doing here.
