@spideerfan002: Bendis isn't leaving DC, he still wants to relaunch Naomi and Legion of Superheroes, his only link to Substack is just a newsletter for now and Bleeding Cool states he has no big lucrative deal with them like Spencer, Tynion or Hickman etc do.

Still, I wonder what he'll say about the Marvel offer? Tynion's already set to make a fortune over his 'shoot' comments on DC.

I meant writers for both and Bendis for Marvel.

But it will be interesting to see why he turned marvel down.

Bendis is never coming back to Marvel. His writing was on the wall the moment his Ultimate Universe Spider-Man was closed down and brought over to 616, which he never wanted to do. Did you know that he was offered the chance to write ASM but turned it down as well? I feel that Bendis wants to go back to his roots as a indy writer..

I got into a debate with a Black Cat fan in DC's Titans facebook group. He really annoyed with his remarks about Mary Jane

I had typed:

I actually converted from being a Dick/Babs fan to being a Dick/Kory fan after reading the 1980-1996 Wolfman run comics and the The Judas Contract movie back in 2018 which led me to create a thread on them at Comic Vine.

Before that, I was a Dick/Babs fan for almost 20 years as the result of the Batman animated series.

Now I strongly dislike the pairing.

Dick/Kory is my 2nd favorite comic book pairing after Peter/Mary Jane. My 3rd favorite is Bruce/Selina. My 4th favorite is Scott/Jean. My 5th favorite is Clark/Lois.

I really like Barbara in the Titans show, but I definitely prefer Dick with Barbara as just a friend and Kory as his love interest.

He replied:

Guess, for each those own. In comics I’ve always liked Grayson with Barb, though I did like him with Kory in this show.

Peter Parker is in a comfort relationship with MJ. Him and Felicia are more complimentary, but Felicia has had to deal with lots of Trauma. But her love of adventure but need for stability is good for Parker who becomes complacent, but needs adventure.

I retorted:

Mary Jane had a troubled past too, and she overcame it to be a more supportive wife to Peter and even stuck by him during the 2nd Clone Saga even when he was thought to be a clone. She risked her life from getting killed by Peter and helped him break Jackal's programming. They were married from 1987 to 2008 until Joe Quesada came up with a ridiculous demonic deal to end their marriage to save Peter's Aunt May who got shot as the result of Peter unmasking in front of the entire world.

I read the old comics. Felicia only loved Spider-Man and she didn't love Peter. When he took his mask off, she yelled at him to put his mask back on. She wanted Peter to be Spider-Man all the time. She was amoral and didn't understand why Peter became Spider-Man. She went straight because of Peter and not because she believed that stealing was wrong. She got powers from the Kingpin, but she kept that a secret from him. That relationship was doomed from the start. She ended up playing him as she got into a fling with the Foreigner. She was hating him for dumping her and interfering with the powers that she gained. After she found out that Peter and Mary Jane were married, she started dating Flash and physically threatened Mary Jane as well as was deluded about Peter is going to leave Mary Jane for her. She changed later on and she became a friend to both Peter and Mary Jane. I prefer Felicia to just be friends with Peter. She was in love with Peter in the 2000s, and Mary Jane picked up on it before Peter did. That motivated Felicia to help Peter out.

He responded:

Everyone has had some trauma, but Felicias trauma takes the cake.

Like I said, to each their own opinion. Peter and MJ relationship has been pretty toxic, to be honest. MJ to me has always been just the woman that Peter falls back to. Recently she has become more like Louis, which is fine. Works a bit better for her dating a man with a lifestyle like Peters.

Felicia, in the other hand, compliments Peter’s personality more. She fills in the gaps he has, since he is always pulled towards the life of a superhero. She is fun and adventurous, which is something Peter often fails to get due to his complacency. And, Peter is grounded, which is something Felicia needs.

MJ is good wife. She is a good woman for a man who has a simple life. Who doesn’t need adventure and fun like how Peter needs it. For a man that doesn’t need to always be going on the next rescue mission, etc.

I retorted:

toxic??? Black Cat's relationship with Peter has been toxic!! She didn't even love him as Peter. She even endangered his secret identity during their relationship.

There are a lot of comic panels of Peter and Mary Jane supporting each other as well as having fun in their marriage. Mary Jane wasn't just some woman that just stayed home and be some housewife. She was independent and had a career of her own without breaking the law. She could take care of herself. She has saved her own life from others at times. She is not physically great as Black Cat, but she is courageous. She was quite sane and emotionally stable, and she also helped ground Peter. They complemented each other too. She accepted both Peter Parker and Spider-Man.

Peter and Mary Jane's marriage was at its most successful, mature, and stable during the JMS period after they ended their brief separation after Mary Jane was rescued after she was kidnapped and thought to be dead for many months.

If Peter and Mary Jane pairing is toxic, then Peter and Felicia pairing is way more toxic.

This is why relationships must be circulated. Imagine if Jessica Drew, Betsy Braddock, Jennifer Walters, or Tigra was part of Peter's new relationship that would be built on their friendship?

I Really Hope She Gets A Relaunch Soon. There Is So Much To This Possible Thieves Guild War Possibly Coming And More Involving Oddessa Drake And Tamara. Really Hope She Gets Another Series With A Brand New Creative Team. Male Or Female, They Really Have To Do Felicia Justice.

They really should mix things up with Black Cat, such as having Jessica Drew as a featured ally...

@spideerfan002: Couldn't care less for 616 Wanda, or Peter being involved in filler crossover events. Nothing meaningful to them

Especially if there are no storyline development. The problem with Marvel these days is their long standing segregation of stories limited the their respective editorial departments instead of loaning out characters with each other to form new stories. Case in point. Why can't we get the following stories in the pages of titles by the Spider-Office:

Spider-Man x She-Hulk

Spider-Man x Black Widow

Spider-Man x Captain Britain

Spider-Man x The Hulk(Banner)

Spider-Man x Tigra

Spider-Man x Spider-Woman

Spider-Man x Captain Marvel

Hawkeye x Black Cat

Yukio (the wild one) x Black Cat

Taskmaster x Spider-Man

Why doesn't Marvel produce those stories to bring in more readers is beyond me.

I have high hopes for non-stop.I think it may give us great action and intelligence stuff as well(non-stop fighting and the brain-power stuff where peter may have to outsmart a lot of brain-power.)I just hope Peter does it on his own and we don't get a mary sue.

ASM looks good.

I hate the Iron man stuff. That conversation should have been Peter and Miles.Like if they want to keep Miles in the 616 they need to establish that mentor relationship.Otherwise ship him back to 1610.

Don't much care for the Heroes Reborn stuff.

Also @blackspidey2099 no feats for Pete.Had a small fight with Selim.Nothing important. This week may be better though.

I agree. Send Miles back to his own universe, along with Spider-Gwen. What would be ideal is the true Spider-Team:

  1. Jessica Drew
  2. Julia Carpenter
  3. Kaine Parker
  4. Black Widow
  5. Peter Parker

It's high time that Jessica Drew confronts Black Cat. Long overdue to see Felicia as part of Spider-Woman's rogue galleries where she belongs...

I can't disagree with you anymore than I already do.

Black Cat is exactly where she's suppose to be, with Spider-Man.

While she was originally slated to be part of Spider-Woman's rogue gallery, I highly doubt she would have the popularity she currently has, if she had become part of Spider-Woman's world.

But I did find this for you

Originally, the Black Cat was never intended to be a character in Spider-Man, nor a cat burglar. Marv Wolfman was writing Spider-Woman and was planning to create a female villain for Spider-Woman. That character would turn out to be the Black Cat. Carmine Infantino drew the cover for Spider-Woman #9, which was suppose to be the Black Cat's first appearance. However, the cover was rejected, and before Wolfman was about to have Infantino redesign the cover, he was switched to writing Amazing Spider-Man and took Black Cat with him. Now working on Spider-Man and after a cover rejection for Amazing Spider-Man #194, he would finally introduce Black Cat on July 1979. She was illustrated by Keith Pollard, giving him co-creation rights to Black Cat.

Yeah, Its Nice That She's In The Spidey World. But, Honesrly, She Could Likely Have A Few Involvements With Jessica Someday. Though, I Think That Felicia Would Have Better Things To Do Then Interacting With Jessica.

sometimes, it's good to mix things up by circulating supporting characters and rogue to other places. For once, I would love to see Spider-Woman and Tigra (respectively)make a guest appearance in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man for 3 different story arcs before bringing Black Cat back for another story arc with Spidey...

In turn, I want to see Peter make a guest appearance in Spider-Woman and Captain Marvel for one story arc respectively. Marvel focus way too much on the past. Sometimes, it's best to let go of the past.

Captain marvel 27 spoilers from comicsheatingup

Every character seems to sleep with strange fr.Elektra and now Carol,I guess the magic stuff next issue makes sense now.I really hope they keep Black Cat and Strange Platonic. The daredevil stuff was already horrible. Also the cover is false,

I guess that means that Spidey will not show up after all in Captain Marvel as a guest..

Skinny Amanda Waller should have been a new character with different name and background story. The old Waller should have been intact..
