Together (Satele Shan, Jaric Kaedan, Bela Kiwiiks, and Syo Bakarn) were invincible! They fought twenty thousand years of evil, incarnate in the Sith Emperor and his servants. They never faltered. Of them all, it was Satele who made me the most proud."

―Ngani Zho (Star Wars: The Old Republic: The Lost Suns)

Combat Abilities:

Satele Shan defeated Darth Malgus, an immensely powerful Sith Lord and one of the greatest warriors in the Sith Empire, in an intense engagement on Alderaan. During the battle she contended with Darth Malgus in lightsaber combat before having to resort to the Force to overpower the legendary Sith.

"To this day, Jace Malcom's face is etched with scars earned in the Battle of Alderaan. Darth Malgus, however, suffered far worse injuries. The traumas he earned at the hands of Malcom and Satele Shan forced Malgus to wear a respirator mask if he hoped to survive."

Satele Shan cut through dozens of deadly hex droids as Eldon Ax watched in awe.

"Master Satele unexpectedly dropped down into a ravine, and Ax followed. There she stopped dead. The Jedi was standing on the ground with one finger to her lips. She counted down three fingers with her other hand, and then leapt straight up into the air with lightsaber flashing. The first of the pursuing hexes fell in two equal pieces. The rest shrieked and rushed in to fight...

The Grand Master possessed prodigious Force powers. A gesture crushed hexes into balls or blew them apart from the inside. A look stilled them in mid-lunge while Ax rushed in to finish them off. In a matter of moments, the dozen were dealt with and Ax was looking around for more."

―Star Wars: The Old Republic: Fatal Alliance

"The Grand Master had impressed with more than her telekinetic and telepathic skills. Her speed and decisiveness in combat were unbelievable-but she never once made a sound. Her face was calm, almost serene, as she slashed and hacked through the hexes. There was a tranquility about her, almost a blissfulness, that spoke of an intimacy with violence Ax had not expected. To the Sith, violence was an art form. To Master Satele, it seemed like life itself."

―Star Wars: The Old Republic: Fatal Alliance

―Star Wars: The Old Republic Encyclopedia

"Wielding double bladed lightsabers is incredibly dangerous, and unskilled Sith have ended their own lives - and the lives of those around them when attempting to use such a weapon before their training is complete."

―Star Wars: The Old Republic Encyclopedia

Telekinesis (Alter):

Satele Shan telekinetically blasted Darth Malgus backwards after absorbing his lightsaber energy with Tutaminis. With Darth Malgus unable to move, Satele Shan gathered more energy to unleash a Force Burst that was strong enough to obliterate an entire mountain side, turning it into rubble.

Force Barrier (Control):

The content in the next section reflects the power(s) of Force Barriers, also known as Force Shield.

Satele Shan's Force Barrier was more powerful than any attack powerful hex droids can unleash. While under the protection of the barrier she created, she shielded her team while performing Levitation.

"Master Satele floated in a ball in the center of the room, her Force shield shimmering around her, a milky luminescence maintained barely a finger-span from her body... Master Satele's shield was undoubtedly strong enough to deflect anything the hex could throw at them, so he kept her ahead of him. His job was simply to move both of them-fast."

―Star Wars: The Old Republic: Fatal Alliance

Satele Shan's Force Barrier produced a calming influence that left the hex droids non-hostile.

"You're influencing them?"

"As much as I can, which isn't very much. They only attack when either obstructed or threatened. I'm doing neither, so they're letting me be. They won't go away, but at least they're not aggressive. I think I can hold them back while you come to the door..."

He pushed the button. The gale tried to blow him away but he was firmly braced against the opposite wall. The hexes flailed in surprise, suddenly released from Master Satele's calming influence and blinded by the frozen air coating their sensory pods. Shigar was partly blind, too-he could see only blurrily through the mist stuck to his visor- but he had the advantage of not having to see. His Master's presence was like a beacon to him.

He lunged into the tiny chamber and hit the switch to seal the door behind him. The hexes scrabbled to get in. It wouldn't be long before they cut their way through. He had maybe seconds to find another way out."

―Star Wars: The Old Republic: Fatal Alliance

Satele Shan could survive in the vacuum of space while protected by her Force Barrier.

"I have a suit for you-"

"I won't have a chance to put it on. There's no air lock. I'll keep a bubble of air around me using a Force shield. That'll give me a couple of minutes.

―Star Wars: The Old Republic: Fatal Alliance

Satele Shan sensed the presence of Revan's Spirit on Yavin IV, even though Darth Marr could not.

"There can be no mistaking it: the Emperor is on this moon. Revan is here as well. And another presence, if you wish to believe the Grand Master."

"You sense it too. Not the ancient Sith, or the Emperor. Not Revan. Another presence... different from the rest."

―Darth Marr and Satele Shan (Star Wars: The Old Republic)

Satele Shan sensed the growing powers of Revan as a disturbance in the Force across the galaxy.

"I have to go now. There is a faint yet growing disturbance in the Force I need to look into. If you happen to sense anything out of the ordinary, I hope you'll let me know."

―Satele Shan (Star Wars: The Old Republic)

Satele Shan's senses as a padawan were greater than even the famed Jedi Kao Cen Darach, being capable of sensing the threat of the Sith approaching as they traveled through hyperspace. Her senses proved correct, and the Sith Empire launched their attack on Korriban only moments later.
