I think thats how it is with any artist... he is more appreciated after he dies then when he is alive... though Michael Jackson was Very Much Loved when he was alive... at least during his prime years in Music "

Nope, not just you. Though it's less his death and more because they're was largely received news regarding
him, which sparked more interest in him and therefore music requests.

Well considering his last album will come out in 2021 I'm guessing the record label want's him to stay in mind.

See, where I live it's practically every day now that I hear at least one of his songs on the air, and sometimes even 2 or 3 times a day, when before his death I would only hear one of his songs once every few months or so unless it was October like it is now and Thriller gets played ad-nausea. Sha also commented that he has enough recorded material to apparently still come out with stuff til 2021, seems like it he truly will be just like the Beatles and Elvis, still producing music posthumously. "
