Imperator: Super Star Destroyer
The flagship of House Bellerophon's fleet and the personal ship of Darth Miltiades. This massive machine of war serves as the mobile base of the venerable Darth.
The sheer scale of the ship gives it many of the properties of a small city. It does not have a single medical bay, it has multiple hospitals. Nor does it have only one barracks; it has an entire ecosystem of housing ranging from cramped barracks for lowly ranked soldiers to furnished homes for officers and expansive suites for high ranking officers and VIP personal. Holo-theaters. Hutt-ball courts. A small parade ground. An entire department for waste disposal.
But the vessel is not merely a flying city, it is also a gargantuan war machine that crews two hundred and eighty thousand. Eleven miles long it's titanium-alusteel alloy armored hull is adorned with two thousand turbolasers, two thousand heavy turbolasers, two hundred and fifty missile tubes, two hundred and fifty heavy ion cannons and five hundred point defense turrets. It's hanger is packed with thousands of light weight TIE-series craft and it's troop compliment includes thirty AT-ATs and forty AT-STs, two hundred light support speeders, two prefabricated assault bases and several titan class drop ships. They are backed up by thirty eight thousand elite combat troops.
Design Philosophy
The Imperator is unique among Imperial capitol ships in that it is designed to operate alone. The vast majority of Imperial craft are designed to operate in support of one another. For example the Star Destroyer requires a fighter screen and the TIE requires a hyperdrive capable ship to carry it to it's destination. No Imperial ship fights alone.
Except the Imperator.
Outwardly this appears to be an expression of strength. A massive flagship bristling with guns and packed with TIE fighters and Stormtroopers. But the opposite is true; the Imperator is an effort to compensate for the economic weakness and technological regression caused by the Dark Age.
By building one massive vessel House Bellerophon's engineers hoped to take advantage of economies of scale. Rather than manufacturing a shipping parts for a hundred ships, they could focus on one. Rather than training enough officers to supply a dozen bridges, they need only staff one. And best of all the massive size of the Imperator meant that it could maintain it's own manufacturing facilities for minor items such as rivets, bolts and smaller bulkheads.
