@cloudguy: Yes I recall doing a search through the "Link to a Page" image / issue search pop up box and having a nightmare looking for an issue. If I recall it was a #15. I would get "ALL" the #150s! then after quite a few next pages like a comical joke I would finally get into the teens "except" the #15 was no where to be found!!!! Though it was rare I would sometimes after typing the issue/volume name I would type the issue number several times with some success (i.e. Batman #25 25 25).
Prior to the update I was looking for DC Comics Presents #26 and it took 9-10 pages just for that issue. I was getting DC Bombshells and DC Comics Presents: ... .... Again nothing that has to do with a #26 or DC Comics Presents (without the :).
The old CV search engine was a lot better. If you would search the creator Frank Miller you would see all Franks and as you add letters to the last name it would narrow it down to the one you want.
I agree with Cloudguy about the searching algorithm. I liked the old format that Comicvine once had. If you searched a particular name only that name would show up as you added the letters. If what you were searching for didn't exist nothing would show in the search box.
As an example creator Bob Smith. I can understand if there are several people of the same names. But what does Bob Sharen, Bob Wiacek, Bob Shreck and Bob Harras have to do with Bob Smith? Only the names Bob Smith and Robert Smith should appear. Those other names just clutter things up and add confusion.
The location New York State is another example you pretty much have to type out the whole name before it appears.
This is especially true when trying to add an image to an image section especially when it involves an issue. You can type the "exact title" and "issue number" and "still" not get the what you are looking for. At times, you have to go through page after page to find what you are looking for. This is painfully true if the issue search in question happens to be a #1 issue.
As for another broken issue when you go to "View Full History" and left click the "Edit #" nothing happens.
@brian_menard: I've been wanting to submit this too. Yes it is VERY ANNOYING. There should be a drop down box allowing you to select the page you want to go to instead of having to jump 2-3 pages at a time to get to a particular volume. And, then you have to start all over if you select a volume and then you click to go back and end up on page 1 and you want to be on page 35. Though sometimes if you click on the webpage link it may have page 1 and you want to go to page 35 you would click and change the 1 to 35 and bypass the nightmare of 2-3 pages at a time.
