I always thought that when a GL member (2814 sector kind) uses their ring to construct a machine gun as a weapon, it was lacking in imagination. I mean, you have only your mind as a limitation. You can construct anything and they would choose a weapon that they could use during a war on earth. If I had a ring I would construct a million Joan Rivers and have them yap the ears off my enemies to death. Mix it up a little bit, you know.
I honestly cannot understand why some folks are not looking forward to this. But it seems that the more clips and trailers are coming out, the more people are changing their minds. This movie is going to be sooooo much fun!
Love this. The 3 min. expert is one of the most enjoyable videos to watch. More please. How do you guys/gal at comicvine decide which character to focus on? It would be cool if you took request....
If you want to understand the X-Men, as their true origins started, then this might not be the best jumping off point. But if you don't care or have read the comic arcs, then you might thoroughly enjoy this. I thought overall it was well done. I really loved the reintroduction of Magneto and smiled when he first tapped into the hatred. Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy did such an outstanding job! I do wish that they had more moments together on screen and the writers would have dug a little deeper with their relationship. Bacon was on top of his game as Mr. Shaw. The movie was half serious and half fun. Despite my battle with sleep (midnight showing and I'm old) I thought it was really really good.
All though, why did the Black Mutant have to die first. Even as a mutant, can't catch a break. "One of the characters in Warren Ellis' Planetary says that the black guy always dies- it just proves the theory right."
