@PowerHerc:Thanks. Besides being a comic book junkie, I'm also somewhat of a movie junkie as well, especially the old school classics.
With longer hair of course, Ron Ely = Thor. With full on beard and eye patch, George C. Scott = Odin. A very young Basil Rathbone = Loki. Jane Russell = Sif. Ty Hardin = Fandral the Dashing. He also would be a good Green Arrow. Orson Wells = Volstagg the Enormous. Toshiro Mifune = Hogun the Grim. Stella Stevens = Amora the Enchantress.
@xscarletkittie: Nice call. @PowerHerc: Thanks. Some good calls on your last go around. The Elizabeth Taylor head shot you used made me think of her as Black Widow first appearance version.
@Chaos Prime:Another good call. Here is someone else Heston could have pulled off as far as looks go. @ Moomin123 : I think this character would have been a better fit for Errol Flynn than Hal Jordan.
@PowerHerc:Good calls. Here are my takes for Sophia Loren and Ann-Margaret. Sophia Loren = my choice for Golden Age Wonder Woman. Ann Margaret is my choice as Jean Grey/Marvel Girl. @ Chaos Prime: I've got Kirk Douglas as my choice as the Doom Patrol's Cliff Steele/Robot Man.
Jeffrey Hunter = Reed Richards. Susan Oliver = Sue Storm. Neville Brand = Ben Grimm. Kurt Russell = Johnny Storm. Christopher Lee = Dr. Doom.
@ cbishop : Great blog piece. Always nice to know there are other folks out there with similar views on the current state of superheroes.
