With a mastery of the bow that was unmatched for his time, Orion would find his legendary skills placing him into more trouble than it did getting him out! After having been accepted as a hunter of Artemis, the young man would come to test his mettle against the most dangerous and monstrous of foes. With each kill delivered, for every head bagged, he found his skills improved just a sliver so slightly. Eventually, such talents would find both the eye, and ire, of an archaic force.
Gaea, progenitor of the Earth, saw the young archer improve day by day, and in doing so developed a deep-seated fear. Fear that should his growth go unchecked, he would set his target to all of Earth's children. Without hesitation, she tore the ground open, casting the young man into the fiery pits below, in hopes he would never return. However, when Artemis had learned of her hunter's demise, she requested the King-god, Zeus, raise Orion's spirits to the stars, as both a service to her loyal compatriot and as spite towards the avatar of Earth.
From his newfound position, Orion found his presence encapsulating all beneath the heavens. Now planning to make full use of his second chance, he will continue his ever lasting quest to rid the world of its 'monsters'.
