This is my list of fav. characters, pretty self-explanatory but I think they all deserve a mention.

The only DC character I was ever interested in until a few years ago.
Bring back Nightwing, Dick was best as his own man.
I know a lot of people on the vine dislike Steph but honestly I think she's exactly what Batgirl should be. Completely by the seat of her pants. Cassandra Cain is way too good to be in the shadow of Bruce or Dick.
I like Kyle just because he's completely not Hal. That doesn't mean I don't like Hal, I just really like the fact that Kyle isn't some fearless brick and he can still become, arguably, the greatest Green Lantern.
Since I didn't read much DC until around 2004, Hal's origin story and rebirth were really my introduction to Green Lanterns as a whole. Some might say that means I'm not a real GL fan, sure. But I've really enjoyed every story I've read with Hal. I'm nothing like him but he has very real human qualities.
The Sensational, Amazing Spider-Man. Peter Parker. Along with Nate Grey, a character I felt great empathy for. Especially when I was growing up, in most of the stories he was growing up too. He was young and scared to death half the time, he told jokes just to cover that up. It's something I do to this day, usually with girls instead of super-villains though.
Spider-Man has been on my pull list since before I knew what a pull list was and he still is today. I suddenly wonder, even though Peter Parker and Spider-Man always had almost opposite personalities, you never feel like they're different people. It's pretty amazing that that level of understanding for the character was something you could immediately grasp even when you were like 8 years old. I'll never 'grow out' of comics or forget what the characters mean to me. Spider-Man is probably a big part of that.
Matt's powers are so original and interesting, I love reading about him. His life somehow always becomes worse though.
The anti-hero of an age of anti-heroes. Growing up Wolverine was the guy I wanted to be, even if I knew I was a lot more like nerdy Spider-Man. Wolverine had everything, mad fighting skills, could look after himself better than anyone and the girls never failed to notice Logan. He's the ultimate badass and I wished I could grow up with half a set like him.
I should have known I wasn't serious enough to be like him all the time though ;) If you ever get in a situation where you feel you've got to nut up, just ask what would Wolverine do? You might come out with a part of your face you were rather attached to in a barely recognizable shape but you probably kicked ass and looked cool doing it.
Probably the only character I kind of really felt a connection to when I read comics growing up. Even among people similar to him Nate Grey is always noticeably apart from others. Pretty cliche when you're a teenager but I just thought it was really cool how he flew around the world trying to find his place.
One of the characters I found most fascinating growing up.
The first comic-book character I ever read. The first comic I read seriously made me sit up and go 'holy crap, he's fighting who!?'
It was Steve Rogers fighting Lady Deathstrike, just after the Onslaught saga. I'm not an American but the ideals Captain America stands for inspires me as a person and renews my faith in Americans in general when that faith has been strained at times over the years. He's probably, single-handedly the reason I never jumped on any anti-American bandwagons during George Bush's time in office, which was not a small achievement. Captain America embodies everything that is good and right in the world, everything you can be proud to put your faith in. He's a symbol for everyone.
shh.
By the winds of Watoomb!
The Man.
also, The Man.
There's feeling lonely, then there's feeling Silver Surfer lonely.
There's a reason why she's popular. Awesome to read, always. Truth, Justice, and Starry Knickers!
Magneto makes Malcolm X look like Bryant Gumbel.
