@stewart77: Why don't they realise that when "events" are constant they become the norm. Imagine no events for five years, just consistent storylines and titles where the writers could have a long term plan and THEN there is an event. THAT would actually feel like an event!

I know he is a legend but I have always hated his art, well since about 1987 when he started exploring his individual style. These covers are quite good for him not his usual cubic bodies, glowering facial expressions or over creased clothing. I'm a big Spider-Man fan and have had to put up with him for years because he is a "fan-favourite". Not mine. His portrayal of Jimmy Six epitomises the ludicrously bulky bodies he loves so much. So there!
Very interested in this. The character was much more interesting than the trailers suggested. Whilst we are on the subject what about a comics adaptation of the actual film? And when is the C3PO one shot hitting the shelves? The mysterious origin of his red arm is driving me crazy! :-D
@edblank: the problem is all three of them have always been called Spider-Man in their worlds, it is only the publications that included 2099 and Ultimate in their titles. If I were Peter I would be miffed if someone else was considered the ultimate Spider-Man! There should be an alternative to them all being given the same name though.
@mark_stephen: I didn't mean that the gold building was one of the rubbish tie-ins. I meant it was one of the good ones. I have always thought that SWII was a VERY deep series that wouldn't look amiss on an English degree course. All that stuff about the meaning of evil and free will and the guy who tried to kill himself by jumping off a building but still reached out for Spideys hand. No way was that series for kids!
