"The writer who killed off Sabertooth" should read: "The writer who thought it would be awesome to have Wolverine be descended from wolf-derived people called the lupines, for Thunderbolt Ross to be a Hulk, and for half the Ultimate universe to be killed off in one fell swoop, too." Granted, people have been able to salvage his messes before, but...good grief.
1) Scott didn't tell Idie to kill. He told her to make a decision, which she did. And yet, somehow, she ends up on Wolverine's team any way, whereas Hope and the other Lights stay on Scott's team.
2) Hope stays on Scott's team. Why? She hates his guts -- or did. I haven't any proof yet, but I can't help but think that she would find Logan's argument completely ridiculous. She's been a soldier her entire life, and when the choice is "defend yourself or die," she's clearly gone with "Defend yourself." If the X-men had followed Logan's plan, and not relied on every man, woman, and child they had, they'd have never survived Second Coming.
