Marvel Cinematic Universe: Best to Worst (IMO)

After seeing Avengers: Age of Ultron (which I assumed would be the end of Phase 2) I got the urge to create a list of all the MCU movies. This is the order I'd put them in, which is obviously not the same as everyone else. It should be noted that I like ALL of the films so far (which is super surprising), but there are a few that rise to the top.

List items

  • The sequel to the first Captain America film will probably be my number 1 for a while. I'm a huge fan of Kung-Fu and fight sequences are very important to me.

  • The first of the MCU movies still lands high on my list. At the time of its release I was completely blown away and even now I enjoy watching it from start to finish. A well made movie that stands the test of time.

  • It seems like most people wouldn't put the Ed Norton Hulk movie this high up but I love this one. The battle scenes where intense and I loved the way Blonsky evolved throughout the story. I'm still waiting for Ty Burrell to return as Doc Samson and for The Leader to show up and cause trouble for the Avengers.

  • Even though I didn't love the love between Gamora and Star Lord I really enjoyed everything else (including the villains). And I'm still listening to the Sound Track!

  • With AoU I just sat back and was entertained from start to finish. A few times I nearly eye-rolled but honestly there was WAY more good than bad, and the bad wasn't really that bad.

  • I'm never sure what people don't like about this one. I loved it from start to finish.

  • When it came out I wasn't blown away, but the more I've watched it the more I've come to appreciate it and just let myself enjoy the epic-ness.

  • I'm surprised Thor ends up in the bottom half because I really did love this it, but with so many great movies that's to be expected.

  • This one definitely threw me for a loop when I saw it in theaters. I didn't know what to think of the kid, the Mandarin, the actual villain, the comedy... But after a few viewings I realize that I've always enjoyed watching it.

  • Thor 2 was a lot of fun and offered high adventure in a cool fantasy world but a few things made me not LOVE this movie. It brought it down to the lowest level imaginable, I only LIKE this movie!!

  • Cap's my favourite of the Avengers, which is maybe why I was overly critical of this one? I liked it a lot but I kept thinking of things I wished were different or things I'd change if I could, which is not a good sign.
