@d9000: Far right. I think this is the picture we took on my second San Diego Comic Con as the site's Con intern.

Sweet, looks like fun on a bun!

What a bittersweet podcast. It was cool to hear some of the history of the site but very sad when you realize it's the last one ever. In my head the title image was turning from colour to black and white as the outro music played.

I'm really happy to hear Mat's great baby news, but very sad to hear about his dog. Thanks a million @inferiorego for doing this final podcast and explaining everything. Hopefully by now you've bought a pack of Ricola cough drops and felt their sweet Swiss relief. And thanks a billion to you and @gmanfromheck for everything you've done for the site and the show.

I wish I could say I've been listening from the beginning but since 2014 I've been enjoying this site and this podcast consistently. I know that's only a fraction of how long it's been around but it still feels like a long time.

I highly recommend Podcast Killed the Video Star. I'm loving it. If anyone enjoyed the non-comic book and non-tv/movie related banter on the CV Podcast you'll love PKtVS. It's banter of the highest quality. Hopefully Tony starts a new podcast at some point, I'd love to hear it.

I'm also really happy to see Mat's success at Gamespot. Personally I'm really loving what Gamespot is changing into. I know the hardcore GS users don't seem super happy to have non-video game content on their site but if you asked me what subjects I'd like to see on a website I would say Wrestling, Video Games, Comics, Movies and TV (in that order). So they have me covered for everything I care about.

That being said, it's impossible not to notice the slow down of editorial pieces and reviews on CV which is a bit of a bummer. It seems like Game Spot's entertainment focus is movies and tv first, wrestling second and comics third. I'm sure they have their reasons for this (and I'm betting it's simply based on views) but they'd definitely need to hire more writers to work on comic related content and maybe they just don't have the resources. It's a downer for the hardcore comic fans on CV but my understanding is that CV started as a Comic Book Wiki and a community forum which doesn't seem to have changed one bit. In that regard it can continue on forever as long as the users enjoy chatting with each other and updating character entries.

I must have been a bit late with posting my question for last week. Not sure when you might get to this but here it is again.

I thought of this question while looking at reviews for Iron Fist:

- I was always under the impression that a critic was not there to give you an opinion, they're giving you facts. They look at writing, acting, directing, and other quantifiable factors which can actually be graded. And if you don't care about those things than it doesn't matter what they tell you, but the critic (who is an expert) is still correct. These days, when something is critically panned people seem to jump on the critics saying they're wrong or corrupted in some way.

Do you feel something has changed in the way entertainment is reviewed?

I also wanted to point out, if anyone was disappointed with Iron Fist they should check out Into the Badlands. It's also a martial arts, action show with a very interesting premise. It's not perfect but I feel it's a notch above Iron Fist. The second season is out soonish I think.

I wish I could contribute to the current comics conversation but everything I read is on Marvel unlimited. I'm loving X-Factor from 2007/08 though. It's my jam!

Hey guys, here's something for the next podcast.

I was going to write down all my feelings about Iron Fist but I'm only halfway done so I'll wait until I finish it. What I will say is that it's definitely not excellent. I'm enjoying it but I'm also looking past some real issues with the show.

My question for you is actually about critics. I was always under the impression that a critic was not there to give you an opinion, they're giving you facts. They look at writing, acting, directing, and other things that can actually be graded. They see it from a clinical, expert point of view. And if you don't care about those things than it doesn't matter what they say but that doesn't make the critic wrong. These days, when something is critically panned people seem jump on critics saying they're wrong or corrupted in some way.
