@archizoom: limitations are always arbitrary for every character. Seriously, Kryptonite? He's deathly weakened by a substance from his home planet? He's immune to basically all radiation, but irradiated rocks from his home world will kill him? Think about how stupid that sounds. Red solar energy is logical, but why does he have a weakness to Magic? Because a writer somewhere along the road wanted him to face a magical opponent and to make the story interesting. WW's weakness to sharp weapons is a direct result of giving her the bracers. Originally something that was done to show an amazing skill (being able to block bullets with her incredible speed and skill) was translated into a weakness to sharp weapons. Not breathing in space is an easy thing to fix, could just be something she has to learn, could be she gets an artifact from Hephaestus could just be that she's still, growing more powerful and will simply out grow the limitation. Personally I don't love the idea of WW in space for her adventures. She's a character rooted in the fantasy side of the genre not SciFi much like GL is SciFi not fantasy so I don't really want to see him fighting Olympians and Dragons and such ... Let him fight interstellar fleets.
Boundaries and limitations for characters are expected, all powerful heroes are dull. Now we know WW is limited in outer space ... Give her a challenge that exposes that weakness and watch how she overcomes it (because she will) and you'll have a much more interesting story than WW is an unbeatable powerhouse who goes around the galaxy destroying all evil without a challenge.
