The date probably will not have anything to do with Martha since she is on Law & Order UK.   And there are other  Gallifreyans other than the Dr's Granddaughter (not to mention is partial clone daughter- who is the Daughter of a former Dr), there is the Mad Monk and others that have been mentioned, and seen in past incarnations.  As for the Dr getting married, we know he marries River (and that also fits with the River in the Forest clue).  As for 3 women mentioned... i see River being more active character soon.  Remember she is living an opposite time stream than the Dr (she mentions it).

Probably not the place to mention this, but ... Is this the first Image that has Ant-Man in it for the team?  Really?  This is an odd arrangement of members.  I will have to go back to picking up Marvel Titles when these new Avenger titles show up.

I cannot wait for the Season Ender.  We shall have the Red Queen... Martha Kent!  Mark my words on this.  I have not been a huge fan of the show, but taken for what it is, its not bad.  IT IS NOT SUPERMAN / SUPERBOY.  Its a TEEN show (just like the rest of WB) and for that i can swallow it (at least its not vampires).

I think that Riddler would make a Great opponent to Batman.  Make the move about opposites.  Have Riddler be some well known Detective brought in to track down the Batman (who secretly works for some underworld organization - refer back to Ras Al Ghul).  As the public persona of Riddler hunts the Batman, the Batman is hunting the Riddler and his underworld minions.  As for the other villian... TwoFace could possibly be used for a small part of the script, or it would be someone like Bane.

For those that want Catwoman, my advise would be to introduce her public identity at an even that Bruce is sponsoring.  Then a few scenes here or there with her looking at some 'cat inspired motif' and some comments about her 'independent wealth' on a tabloid splash or news running in the background.  With a few simple scenes, Catwoman is prepped for a future role.

I know that this has nothing to do with Superman, but if you step aside and truly look at Batman/Bruce Wayne you will see the 'BoyScout' that he calls Superman/Clark.  In all ways that matters, Bruce has made himself a real Boyscout.  He believes in the system and tries to help it work where it has broken down and does not seem to be able to fix itself.  He also believes in helping those that cannot help themselves.

That being said, I feel that he should not kill Joker.  I really believe that he would change forever who he is if he did that.  Now on the other hand, Jason could do it and I dont think I would feel so bad about it.  I would see that sort of like Punisher killing someone...  it has to happen.  If anyone other than Jason as the killer would be a mistake (unless a more menacing and dangerous villian comes into Batman's life and makes it his business for Batman to have to deal with him as he clears the chaff of Batman's life).

PLEASE LORD NO!!!  Tatum ruined Duke...  I would rather see an older actor pick up the role that this wanna be stud.  Maybe he should go and get some more hot water poured on his crotch... just tell him he needs it for the ice scene.

I know that he is now too old for the demegraphics but Matthew McConaughey would be as good as any of these others.  We know he can act, we know that women love him and he is known to be in great shape.

As for the lasses... All Winners for Ms Carter.

I do think that we are seeing the Secret Avengers here.

If you think about it, several of these people match the shadows we have been receiving.  I am kind of getting excited aobut this team now.

I am not sure about the rest of you, but I see Black Panther.  With his sister taking over the role, could it be he comes back to the States with Orro to make his way?

I think unknowns should be cast for comic movies.  People forget that Superman made Christopher Reeve, an that Hugh Jackman was relatively unheard of before X-Men.   "
i agree "
You do understand that this is not the 70's in longer.  Very seldom do you get someone from obscurity and give them 1 movie and have them able to not only take the lead but rise it to a blockbuster film.  As for Reeves, you do also have to add to the fact that he was accepted at Juliard and was known as a good stage actor.  And Mr Jackman was a well known name in his home country work his acting work.  Neither of your examples took the roles you listed as the first acting job and stepped out into the limelight and headlined.

If you want an example of an unknown leading a Comic Movie... how about Mr Routh.  He showed that someone needs more than just looks to lead a movie (given that the movie script was weak, we cannot toatally blame him for Superman Returns).

I just think that Marvel will look to Captain America just like they did with Iron Man.  They plan on this being THE Summer Blockbuster to set the bar the year it comes out and will need every ounce of power they can put into it to do so.  An unknown actor will not be able to do that.  An 'A' Lister actor can do that and will be what is called for.

Matthew McConahey?  I know that everyone wants an unknown for this role, but really think about it.  Those of that are married need something to bring our wives to see the movie.  And you have to admit the man does have the physical shape to pul off Steve Rogers and the presence to stand in a room with Downey and Jackson and not be overshadowed. (that is something often overlooked... this is not a single movie and the actor needs to be able to not only pull up Steve Rogers but has to have a personality / presence that would make it believable that actors/characters like Downey/Stark & SL Jackson / Fury would believe and follow this man.
