My rankings of The Bond films
This is the same list I made on Screened. Just thought I'd make it over here too.

If it weren't for this movie Pierce Brosnan still might be Bond. This reinvented a dying franchise that was in need of desperate help after the failure of Die Another Day.
The most underrated Bond film gets a lot of criticism aimed at Lazenby, most of the time those people who are criticizing him haven't even seen the movie. Lazenby brought such depth to the role, something Connery didn't. Filming the scene after Tracy dies, Lazenby cried the first time though he was told not to cry and so they did a second take which was used in the film.
By this point in time Roger Moore should have retired as Bond. He's like a dinosaur in this film but I do like that Bond does legitimate spy stuff in this film. I mean he actually investigates for once.
I'm not crazy about this one, it definitely is a good one but I've never felt it lived up to what people say about it. The villain, auric Goldfinger doesn't get as much development as he does in the novel though he still is one of the better Bond villains.
This one isn't bad in terms of writing but the main problem with it is that its boring and lacks any real direction. I still give credit to the movie for being more serious at times than most of the other Moore bond films.
The Man with The Golden Gun was a pretty good novel by Ian Fleming, it wasn't the best one had written but no the worst. Great villain in Francisco Scaramanga but the rest of the movie sucks.
Moonraker was my favorite Bond novel By Ian Fleming but the movie has nothing in common with it. It's practically one silly joke after another with this movie.
It had a good car chase scene but even with the return of Connnery it still was a lousy movie based on one of the worst Bond novels. The film also has a ton issues with audio/video being unsynchronized and crap loads of factual errors, and not to mention the hallmark sillyness the series began to show with this film.
