There is a difference between reaction speed vs actual speed. Ikaris catching Kari doesn't mean he is as fast as her especially since she was able to tag him multiple times before he could catch her.
Maybe I missed something in the eternals movie because Ikaris didn't really seem that powerful. By all means Superman seems to have better feats overall. The impact of superman punches were creating craters, he strong enough to carry a whole building, strong enough to casually dispose of the rest of the Justice league as though they were insects.
With that said I don't think he stomps Ikaris but I would place money on him more than I would Ikaris in a battle.
Honestly to me they aren't that bad or bad at all. Honestly I thought the justice League movie was better than the first avengers movie by a long shot. The DCEU shouldn't be like the MCU otherwise it would be boring.
I don't know why some people claimed What if Strange was Universal when he has no such power. The reason the Universe was collapsing was because he tried to change a point in time that couldn't be changed. He couldn't stop the the world from collapsing either.
With that said if Strange could use the time stone before phoenix turns him to dust then he wins.
Anything with enough power can kill an Original vampire. This is established in Season 2 of TVD. So Yes The endless could kill Klaus as I am sure they has more power than 100 witches.
Honestly they could have always been around just hidden from the mass public by a part of the government. Add in the fact that they can say there is less than 1000 Mutants in the world and those with the X gene aren't being triggered at a rate of concern. explain that it was in the best interest of the government to keep the mutant secret so that there wouldn't be public hysteria. However they could have the mutants tired of being hidden away and want to go and use the Avengers as an example as the would is read for superpowered beings.
100% can keep the tension between the general public and mutants. Doesn't have to be the exact same as the comics. Should start subtle then eventually grow.
There needs to be a big event that replaces the old X-men with a new generation if the franchise hopes to survive. Jean, Scott, Wolverine, etc are getting boring to read about. Fresh blood needs to be given with good story.
Depends on the story. The Phoenix is suppose to represent life/Creation and Death/Destruction.
If a story trying to revive the mutant race then Elixir would be the perfect host for the Phoenix.
If the Story is about consuming life in the Universe then Rogue would be the perfect host.
Honestly the Phoenix force regardless of host should be immensely powerful. The lore isn't really well defined along with its capabilities.
Personally I see the Phoenix force as a glorified power amplifier. So overall the best host would a reality warping/Universal manipulator like Legion or Franklin Richards.
Rogue is beyond Omega level. Her power evolved to the fullest potential would allow her to recall powers and absorb from a distance. Potentially even instantly completely absorb others like she did with the strain 88 virus but that could have been an enhancement of her power versus and evolution.
With power recall she would posses the powers of Scarlet witch, Doctor Strange, Legion, Thor, Captain Marvel, Proteus, Xavier, Jean, etc which would make her a beyond omega level mutant. especially since Hope's power is mimicry of Mutant powers only while Rogue can absorb anything sentient and recall them when fully evolved.
