Being a comic fan in Australia.

I live in Cairns, Australia and don't get me wrong I absolutely love this place and I love being an Australian, but the one bad thing about where I live is the fact that comics aren't really a popular thing here. The only official comic book store that's close enough to me is more of a plain book store, of course there are newsagents but they don't really have a good selection and I can never get the issue I want, but I do have the privilige of living right next to a library which is good because I have been able to order some graphic novels there and that's been really great but not really good enough. I wanted my own collection and stuff , so that's when I thought about buying trades and graphic novels from E-Bay and wow has it been great. I have now figured out a way to still be in the know of the comicverse by buying trades from the internet and now I am obsessed with trades and hardcovers. So yeah I'm really more of a trade guy for that reason but I still pick up a few single issues from time to time, if I had the chance I would be buying them a lot more often but I have learned to live with it, also I would like to encourage other people to read more trades or buy more trades because it sometimes makes the whole experience of reading a story in comics just better. So anyway thanks for reading.

Iron Man 2 was great !

Major Spoilers !
On the 30th of April I was finally able to see Iron Man 2 and I gotta say I was not dissapointed with it. I thought the story flowed very well and the plot was driven by the characters and action.

I really did like the fact that like his suit was killing him basically the pillidium in the arc reactor keeping him alive is toxicating his blood and is getting worse and worse every day. I thought it was great to see a lot more of Nick Fury in this movie as well. So I thought it was cool when Nick Fury told Tony that he hadn't tried everything to keep him alive and he said his dad had the answer for him, and he had to use the 3d blueprints of the model city his dad had made to find some sort of new element which would be able to power the suit and not kill him but this new element which he makes into the triangle arc reactor ends up being a lot more powerfull than pilidium also I almost forgot he uses a particle collider to make this element. Anyway the end fight goes for a lot longer than the 1st and is a lot more epic and awesome. I was smart enough to stay after the credits and yes there was another Avengers set up. So anyway halfway through the movie Nick Fury keeps Agent Coulson on Tony Stark to keep an eye on him, but after a while we see Coulson has gone somewhere (this was were Tony went to talk to Pepper and to take his dad's model city) and if you stayed after the credits you get to see where agent Coulson actually went which was New Mexico and we see a giant crater in the sand and Shield agents investigating it we then see agent Coulson on the phone with Fury saying ''I think we found him Sir" and it then zooms into the crater and we see Thor's hammer Mjolnir.
So anyway I thought this movie was great definitely going to see it again sometime. Thanks for reading.

Iron man 2!

Wow only 7 days now until I get to see Iron man 2 this movie is going to be epic, I just can't hold it in anymore this movie looks great. In my opinion Don Cheadle is going to be a better Rhodey than Terrence Howard was and War Machine looks absolutely amazing, also it is awesome to see the trianular arc reactor on Iron man's new suit, whiplash looks crazzzzy awesome, Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer looks great and Scarlet really looks great as the Black Widow but it is a pity we won't get to see her use a russian accent anyway that I can deal with. As you can see I am really looking forward to seeing Iron man 2 and hopefully it lives up to the first movie and all the hype for itself. Goodbye

Its good !

it sorta feels refreshing to hear that they are going back to having a lighter tone so the characters can seem more like heroes. I really like this and I hope it works out well but I also hope that the stories just go all crappy anyway I'm excited to see my heroes become heroes again in a lighter tone.

Sherlock Holmes The Movie.

On the 27th of December (my birthday) I had the privilege of seeing Sherlock Holmes and I must say this movie was great. Robert Downey Jr did in my opinion an excellent job of playing Sherlock Holmes and Jude Law did a fairly good job of Watson. I enjoyed almost every minute of this action packed mystery movie that brings a new perspective to the character of  Sherlock Holmes, delivered some laughs, and gave us some great well thought out action fighting scenes that show the intelligence and wit of Sherlock Holmes. Overall this movie was really good and was very enjoyable.

Definitely.

It shakes things up a little bit more and makes things ten times more interesting, and I always like seeing how this certain character takes being seriously injured and how they overcome this difficulty in their life.
