Not bad, but not great either 1

Art is still pretty georgeous but the second issue felt more like a filler. Most of the issue resolves around Annihilation Wave, an intentionally a cookie cutter threat for the story. This gives the story an action to brag about. This is filling the part of the mandatory action scene the story tries to delever. The story is also trying to build a new, more down to earth, and likely more threatning villian in Doctor Stasis. So far Doctor Stasis hasnt done anything, but the story seem to be buildi...

Gorgeous Art and Pretty decent start to the series 1

Issue 1 of a new volume, its always a daunting task to lay the groundwork for the story. This issue, in my opinion, did that quite well. Introducing a new villian isn't an easy task, and this issue introduces 2, Cordyceps Jones and Doctor Stasis. The art is georgeous; Pepe Larraz, really did a great job. All his X-men series he has drawn looks georgeous. The big fight in the story reminds you of Pacific Rim. Overall, pretty awesome start, keen to see what's in story on this one. ...

Very disappointing - fails to deliver 5

I absolutely loved the first 3 issue, 4th felt more like filler. 5th and final issue, fails to deliver big time. They build the villain up for 4 issue, and turn the character into an absolute cookie cutter villain, very disappointing. Horrible end to an otherwise interesting story. ...

Very little story progression - felt like a filler 1

Issue itself was not so bad but story progression was very limited. We see multiple surfers; and that part covers almost half of the issue but from story perspective doesn't add anything to the actual story. The part with Jack of Heart also did not move the story forward. Overall a decent read, but felt more like a filler before the finale. ...

The series has me hooked 0

That was a pretty great issue. A lot of nostalgic feel from cosmic marvel readers. You see the old galactus, nebula, and Thanos being Thanos. The main villainy of the story also reveals himself. Can't wait to see how the story end. A great story so far....

Decent ride, leaves you wanting more 1

I was more impressed with this issue, than the first one. Nice to see classic Thanos in the story, but this does contradict the established continuity of the story, specially the reality gem which was destroyed during Hickman's run of Avengers. Was nice to see Thanos's old chair back, as well as Jack of Heart. It feels like classic Thanos / Surfer story ; the art also is designed to give you the nostalgic feel. Pretty decent issue. ...

Decent Start to the story 4

Silver Surfer # 1 started pretty cool. It was nice to see some beloved past marvel characters ( Captain Mar Vell and Genis) and the subtle twist that you run into.Story was fun to read, and you are still trying to figure out what is happening. At times felt a bit slow, art was just okay. Overall 3 out of 5; makes you want to read the next chapter. ...
