Marvel's Greatest Minds

Below are the greatest minds on the Marvel Earth. To make this list, there are only three requirements. They have to be smart, they have to be from the 616 Earth, and they have to have been active in modern times. By modern times, I mean the Golden Age of comic books to the present day. I made these rules because I didn't want the list to be dominated by cosmic beings or by people who haven't had any impact on the 20th or 21st centuries.

With that said, enjoy the list and feel free to make any recommendations.

List items

1. Leonardo Da Vinci

Obviously, Da Vinci deserves to be at the top of this list. The man built a device to fly to the Sun in the 1500's, he's lead S.H.I.E.L.D., an organization of super geniuses, and he seems to know everything about everything. Clearly, Da Vinci is the man.

2. Mr. Fantastic

Reed Richards has, without out a doubt, one of the greatest minds in the universe. He is constantly using his brain to save the world, but yet still makes time to write books, speak at scientific conferences, and invent the technology of the future. The man simply oozes brilliance. Considering the fact that Da Vinci is most likely dead by now, its safe to say that Mr. Fantastic is the absolute smartest person on the planet.

3. Doctor Doom

What list of geniuses can be complete without Victor Von Doom. He has an incredibly keen mind and is a master of both science and magic. He may be a psychopath, but there's no denying the fact that he is a genius.

4. Nathaniel Richards

Nathaniel Richards is one intelligent man. He invented the first time machine, he's traveled to innumerable dimensions and time periods, and he's always got a number of secret plans going on behind the scenes. Though he may have been surpassed by his son, he's still one of the smartest people ever born.

5. Hank Pym

The current Scientist Supreme of Earth, Hank Pym has demonstrated his brilliance time and again. He's discovered Pym Particles, built the coolest mansion ever, and invented Ultron, one of the most sophisticated robots ever made. Love him or hate him, you have to admit, he's pretty damn smart.

6. Immortus

From his high-tech fortress in another dimension, Immortus watches over the time stream. Though he was once the impetuous Kang the Conqueror, he has since matured and taken on a great deal of responsibility. He knows nearly everything there is to know about Earth's history and has invented a great deal of fantastic technology. He is, without a doubt, one of the greatest minds in history.

7. Kang

Kang is a younger version of Immortus who split off from his future self and became his own man. He may lack the sophistication of his older self, but his mind is just as bright. Using his incredible technology and tactical genius, he conquered the world in the 40th century and cemented his place in history.
