My Top 10 Favorite Superheroes

This is a list of my personal favorite superheroes from across all comic book companies. I made a habit of studying comic book characters more than actually studying anything for the longest time, and I realized I never made a list to compile my 10 favorites. So here you go.

List items

  • Steve Rogers is an American icon. He is the epitome of everything America stands for, and he fights pretty good to. He has mastered several fighting styles and was injected with the super soldier serum that made him into the most perfect physical specimen that anyone could ever be. I love just how much of a perfect soldier he is and it makes me want to be more like him in my life.

  • I first stumbled upon this character while I watched the Batman Beyond animated T.V. show. I was a child at the time but everything about the character was interesting to me and still is to this day. I love the take the writers took with the show and how the character was portrayed. He was so different from the original Batman and in a good way. Also, you can't argue that the suit design was top-notch.

  • What's not to like about a cool, futuristic suit of boss armor? The answer is not much, because that's what got me liking the character in the first place. His suit has a lot, and I mean a lot, of cool weaponry and destructive tools to help him in his plan of attack, which is attack.

  • Yes, just yes. I mean, this suit is so much better than the original suit, and he's just a better character, in my view anyways. I like the fact that he has fangs and can inject a paralyzing venom into them, which is a cool new feature.

  • This character I discovered just recently, but man is he awesome! He started off in his young career as a part of an elite military team, and would later join Stormwatch and would eventually become the teacher of young recruits who need to learn to control there powers. When reading the stuff he does, he just reeks an aura of power and prestige. He is without a doubt one of the coolest lesser known heroes in all of comics.

  • This character was so simple, and had so much potential when I would read his stories, I was just drawn to him. I believe I liked him so much was I could relate to him needing to keep his glasses/visor on at all times because when I would lose my glasses I would look around crazily for them because my eyesight was (and is) terrible. And force blasts coming from your eyes which are also portals to another dimension, is a really cool thing to have.

  • How could I not like a character closely related to Cyclops, but I like what I like. He is the strongest mutant and has the most perfect genes of any mutant, bred to take down Apocalypse who is no slouch himself. His powers consist of telepathy and energy based control over his weapons, such as guns mostly.

  • Another hero I have just recently read about, I was so used to the other 3 well known green lanterns (Hal Jordan, Jon Stewart,Guy Gardner) that when I read the tales of a newer lantern I was immediately interested. The green lanterns were pretty dull to me until I read some of Kyle's story arcs and was very fascinated at his adventures. And something about his mask was cool to me as well.

  • Otherwise known as Shazam or Captain Marvel. I first saw him fight Superman in the Justice League animated series and actually get close to beating him, the first time I saw someone actually not get decimated by Superman. His powers also intrigue me because there not your typical origin stories. Given the power of 10 Greek gods, now that's some power.

  • This guy, in the original avengers comics, took down the entire original Avengers team (with a little help from Enchantress and Executioner). When I first read that, I was like.........

Exactly, my mind went silent. I never thought someone as new and with a basic power set as him would do any damage. But he chose to not kill them because of a sudden change of heart. Think about that, he could've ended the Avengers in one fell swoop. That intrigued me.
