@arquitenens: Her eyes showed a certain sadness for the task she was assigned to by the Ancestors. Of all the witches in Gothic and the world, why was the London enchantress death needed? What vital role did she play in the coming war between the factions of Gothic City. "I just want to live." she quietly whispered to herself, was her life that important to her? The realms of where her ancestors lie wasn't too bad, she as with the other witches, other decease spirits of her community, and some whom were of the same blood: family. But the land of the living was different, in all essence, it was filled with new challenges and emotions that made her feel a certain way. Was this the reason why spirits clung onto the physical realm? Was this her reason to live another day? So many questions that may or may not be answered.
As ferocious and malicious that bred their power, the witches in Gothic were at times peaceful, slightly homicidal if anything. But that was life, the good and the bad, it was the terms of survival for every inhabitants in Gothic City. No one was safe, not even the natives to the land. Despite their talents, the witches weren't safe and given their current state, they were all powerless minus the Harvest Girls and Chanel. Unsatisfied with the development of their ritual, Chanel's death was the key for their insurrection and power. Most witches agreed that her death was vital, but her contribution to the witch community made her a figure of respect, enough to lead the witches to certain victory but also to their doom.
"What's taking you so long? Days ago the Ancestors said you had to find and ki-" before she could even phrase a word that only meant death, Chanel quickly sniped back at the young witch "I know what the Ancestors said, my obligations to them hasn't changed! Finding someone special like Abigail isn't easy. She's cloaked and breaking the spell that conceals her location from our spells require a certain approach. She may be miles away for all we know at the moment. She's hiding behind multiple spells, all of which are both complex and intricate. A witch of her caliber may seem nothing in comparison to us but if the Ancestors want her then she must be something of importance." Chanel's full explanation were truth, but the zealous Harvest witch was correct to a certain degree, she had insinuated that Chanel was merely withdrawing from the plan. And Chanel was, not using the best of her abilities because if she did, then Abigail would of already had been located and found, then the witches would of sacrificed her already.
"Où avez-vous aller. Le pouvoir de vous trouver. Je vais vous trouver." this time with the combined might of another Harvest Girl, Chanel had no choice but to comply and soon performed the task she so eagerly wanted to escape from. Chanting together in unison that seem to be about four times in total, their volcanic ash moved around the maps of Gothic City. The power of their unearthly magic guiding the ashes to their target as the whispers of the dead spoke to the Earth with secrets. All while the fact that Chanel coward her true emotions and that the Ancestors' acolyte smiled wickedly at the new discovery they had found. "We found her. It's time to kill Abigail."
