Statues, Monuments, and Memorials

In the history of the comic-verse statues, memorials, or monuments have been erected on public spaces or private land as memorials have been erected for fallen heroes and villains alike. Numerous statues pay tribute with realistic sculptures of these heroes, monuments that became a more meaningful and profound statement for those that gave their lives in action. The statue erected in tribute to the death of Superman in Metropolis was partly funded at public expense and also funded by private organizations and donors. Some memorial statues or monuments are erected from battles that took place on sacred ground. Others are memorials depicting several fallen allies in an almost graveyard like garden severing as a symbolic hall of fallen members. These areas themselves are often considered the memorial. Come, take a turn in keeping alive the memories the ruins of battle. May it to impress the tragic losses of war on future generations.
