Walking Away 2.0

This list is part of my "Walking Away" series.

"Walking Away" is whenever someone on the cover is walking away or otherwise leaving- usually a heavy moment as someone quits a team or identity.

There are several forms of this:

"Walking Away" is whenever someone is walking away or otherwise leaving.

.Walking Away 2.0.- general; you are here.
.Amazing Spider-Man #50. cover homages- Peter Parker walks away from being Spider-Man
.Calling It Quits. Walking away while saying, "I quit" or otherwise telling why they're leaving.
.Duo Destruction. Walking away from a relationship or partnership.
.Lay Down Your Weapons. Tossing their weapon of choice as they walk away.
.Persona Non Grata. Walking away due to being fired, replaced, or otherwise rejected.
."Spider-Man No More!". ASM #50 interior homages- Peter walking away, costume in trash can
.Spider-Quitter. Spidey walks away- there's a few issues overlapped from ASM #50 (Homages).
.Strange Quitter From Another Planet. Superman walks away.
.Stripped Away. Tossing masks or costumes as they walk away. See also: Throwing in the Cowl.
.Team Quitters. Whole teams walking away.
.Throwing in the Cowl. Batman walking away.
.X-Men #138. cover homages- Cyclops with duffel bag.

Note:

This list is "2.0," because I had an older list from 10/13/10 called "Walking Away (buncha quitters!)." It had over 100 items on the list, and CV made a change where lists with 100+ items could only be "unordered lists." Any ordered lists became unable to be edited, so I had to make it an unordered list just to get to all of the items. So here I am rebooting it as "2.0," and breaking out some subcategories to keep the list from hitting 100+ anytime soon. The old list is now deleted. -cb

5. Flash Flees

(10/85) Flash #350. WA: Flash (Barry Allen), hand-in-hand with Iris West. This was bittersweet, because it was the end of the Flash series, the end (thank God) of The Trial of the Flash, and the beginning of his life in the future with the not-dead Iris West. That's right: in the FUTURE. Flash didn't just quit being a superhero - he quit the century.
