The Adventures of Tigerboy and His Real Tiger Paws (Comic Ads #72)

No Caption Provided
Comic Ads are more than just the mountain of Hostess Ads we know and love. Over the years, many a company has used one page comic ads to shill their products in the pages of comic books! So I thought I'd do a list series that showcases those ads, and shows you what issues I've found them in. To me, these are as much a part of comics history as any superhero, and I love 'em for the nostalgia they bring. I hope they do the same for you. Enjoy.

I had never heard of or seen this ad before seeing it on a Facebook group called DC Comics Fans 1956-1986. So thanks to James Proctor of that group for the find. Honestly, my favorite thing about this ad is that as a kid, not understanding what a copyright was, I probably would have tried turning Tigerboy into a superhero design with my Mighty Men & Monster Maker. Probably complete with a tiger-striped motorcycle with a tail. It would have made no sense, but I would have had so much fun with it. Ah, the pre-Internet 1980's. <sigh>
