Comic Ads are more than just the mountain of Hostess Ads we know and love. Over the years, many a company has used one page comic ads to shill their products in the pages of comic books! So I thought I'd do a list series that showcases those ads, and shows you what issues I've found them in. To me, these are as much a part of comics history as any superhero, and I love 'em for the nostalgia they bring. I hope they do the same for you. Enjoy.

Not much to say here that I didn't say in Boys! Earn $1 To $6 A Week... The ad above was being published the same year as the ad on the inset, and the two ads promise pretty much the same result- it's just worded a little bit different. I still say this is a crud-ton of papers to have to sell for a kid.

Personally, for it to have been a national, "full-family" paper, I have never seen an issue of Grit. So rather than doing a Google search, I asked someone who was there- my mom. She says she used to see them all the time. Okay. I mean, I didn't doubt its existence, just its claim to be distributed nationally. But okay, they were everywhere.
