Stargate SG-1 Fan-Fic Ideas

Aug 10, 2022: I've been binge-watching Stargate SG-1, and have had a couple of crossover ideas.

Stargate SG-1/ Star Trek: Resistance is Inevitable - A dial-out accident puts the SG-1 team in a merged universe- merged between Star Trek & Stargate. Unfortunately, now they have to deal with the threat of the Borgoa'uld! To make matters worse, Q is a rogue Ancient?!

I'll be honest, I've got nothing for this one beyond that little bit. I just think that the Borgoa'uld would be terrifying! lol

Stargate SG-1/ Star Trek: The Path of the Pah Wraiths - On a dial-out to one of the unexplored worlds on the dialing computer, SG-1 finds themselves on Vulcan... or Risa... or any named planet in the ST universe, but because I know the DS9 lore better, on Bajor. The Bajorans believe the gate to be the Path of the Pah Wraiths, and take SG-1 prisoner as soon as they come through. When the 'Pah Wraiths' insist they are a team of explorers from Earth, it strains relations between the Federation and the Bajoran Provisional Government. It's up to the DS9 crew to diffuse the situation, and help the SG-1 team get home.

While on DS9, Carter is fascinated by Temple of the Prophets. She theorizes that the Wormhole Aliens are a sect of the Ancients, and that the stable wormhole from the Alpha Quadrant to the Gamma Quadrant is just a further evolution of the Stargate technology. "Sir," she says to O'Neil, "if the Ancients devised a way to form a stable wormhole without a stargate, this would explain why they abandoned the stargate technology to begin with!"

"Even this must be old technology to them though," counters Daniel, "because in their ascended states, they don't need wormholes to travel the universe at all."

"It might be old to the ancients, but it's new to us," says O'Neil. "We need to see if we can make a deal with these Wormhole Aliens for their technology."

This leads to Daniel Jackson being allowed to use the DS9 orb in the Bajoran temple to communicate with the Prophets (it was determined that his pah was strong. Teal'c, Carter, and O'Neil were disqualified, because they were seen as "tainted" by their fomer possessions by Goa'ulds. Daniel's pah was straong due to being formerly ascended.) The Prophets do the thing where they speak to Daniel using the forms of people he knows. They determine that were Daniel actually from this universe, they may have chosen him to be the Emissary. Ultimately, they turn SG-1's request down, saying they could no more interfere with another universe than they do with theirs outside of Bajor.

What DS9 and SG-1 eventually find is that a Mirror Universe transporter key had been hooked to the stargate, and had malfunctioned in such a way that it drew SG-1 from their universe, rather than someone from the Mirror Universe. What DS9 is left to wonder is: who came through from the Mirror Universe to attach the key to the stargate to begin with?

Stargate SG-1/ Dial 'H' For 'Hero': Dialing Out - Stargate Command has been experimenting with the gate, trying to make the wormhole two-way instead of one-way. By sending an "ion pulse" (or something) through the open wormhole, they could "reverse it's polarity" (or something) allowing teams to come and go without closing the wormhole. Having a successful test of throwing a baseball back-and-forth through the gate, they decide to send a team through.

When SG-1 goes through the gate, they find themselves transformed into superheroes. By instinct, they know who they are in these forms, and what they can do. They experiment with their new powers, but lose them after an hour. Unfortunately, they were all in the air when they transformed, and they begin to fall. They're rescued by the Justice League.

The stargate on the DCU Earth was in a STAR Labs facility, but they'd never made any headway. Being surprised by the arrival of Super SG-1, they had called the League. The activation of the stargate itself draws the attention of Darkseid, and he Boom Tubes to the STAR Labs location to investigate. When he realizes the change that's been made, he declares the technology ruined, and boom tubes back to Apokolips. Jack notes that Darkseid sounded like a Goa'uld, and Teal'c agrees, "Indeed."

Carter once again notes that the Boom Tube seems to be stable wormhole technology. Just for the laughs for the reader, O'Neil turns her down flat on the basis that it's too loud, and he doesn't want to have to deal with that all the time.

When they reveal to the League that they lost the transformations after an hour, the League contacts the JSA, and Chris King (the new Hourman, connecting this story to the previous JSA story where he becomes Hourman) is sent to them. He reveals that his watch is a magical construct that allows him to dial HERO, but that the original dial was an alien device.

Daniel becomes very interested. "You said 'dial.' Do you have it? Or a picture of it?"

"Sure," says Chris, and he brings up pictures of the alien dial in the database that is shared between the League, the Society, and the Titans.

When Daniel sees it, his eyes go wide, and he says, "Sam', this writing- it's the language of the Ancients." Reading the database info on the dial, he reads the info (from the 2012 Dial H series) that the dial "borrows" powers from heroes in alternate universes.

From there, he determines that what they've been calling a DHD (Dial Home Device) is actually more of a DOD (Dial Out Device). After all, they can only dial one way with it- out to another planet. So he theorizes that the handheld dials must be DID (Dial In Devices) allowing the user to "dial in" powers from another universe. By making their stargate two-way, they made it both a DOD and a DID. So, when they stepped through, the DOD took them to this alternate Earth, and the DID gave them superpowers, borrowed from some alternate universe.

King suggests they undo their modification, because the alien dial borrows the powers, but leaves the original owner powerless for an hour. His magical dial copies the powers- it doesn't take them.

Jack likes that. "You got any more of those?"

Chris shrugs. "'Fraid not."

"Darn!" Jack says with a snap.

SG-1 goes back through the still-open wormhole, and emerges on the other side with new superpowers. Turning off the pulse that made the wormhole two-way, they now have to wait an hour for the powers to fade. Whether this leads to some brief skirmish with an SG-1 enemy, or their powers imply hijinks for the next hour, ending the story, I don't know yet.
