@vaughn_jackson: @myrmidon_:
The intuitive innate skill and momentous motion of the Myrmidon took the Strigidae due by surprise. There was an exhalation of air as his soles made solid contact with the solar plexuses of both Catriona and Vaughn. The unbridled force that hit them while they were in the midst of motion had the intended effect. It sent them backwards off of the stone ledge three feet high that decoratively surrounded the open courtyard where they were undergoing their exercises.
The sharp cold air of the mountains hit them like a slap to the face as they went over the edge. Immediately, instinct kicked in and they reached their hands out for one another, clasping arms in a crosswise motion to stabilize, much like skydivers did. Micro-adjusting their bodies as they fell. It took mere seconds for the two to work their way over to the edge. Clawing their hands, they attached to the rocky ledge and quickly ascended up to the ledge again.
Utilizing her Arts of the Arcani, Catriona pulled herself up and got moving. Her feet barely touched the edge of the wall as she ran along its length, moving behind and out of sight of Myrmidon. Between the arts that she knew, she was speedy, silent and stealthy. The human eye would not be able to track nor see her, but she was well aware that Myrmidon was no human, thus the added burst of speed.
Jumping off the ledge, she came got enough air to come up above his level, and with her hands clasped together forming one singular fist, she aimed directly for the center of his spine, all while Vaughn enacted his own avenue of attack. Should her hit land successfully, her next move would be to wrap her legs around his neck, applying a stranglehold. If not, she would bound off of the ground and recoup again.
