I was pretty disappointed by The Spirit. I was expecting a lot more. Maybe that was my problem: My expectations were too high. Maybe I need lower expectations. Anyway, here's what I thought of the movie. The Good Cinematography- I though the movie looked great. It really looked like a comic book just like Sin City. I also thought all the characters looked fantastic. The Bad Acting- I understand the movie was attempting to be a little silly, but I thought the movie was WAY too over...

Let's admit it. I'm a bit of a nerd. I like Greek mythology. I used to look up Greek mythology in high school for fun. For fun. It's sad I know, but I liked the premise of the movie (with the Greek gods alive and their offspring still among us). I haven't read any of the Percy Jackson books, though after this movie I think I might. Let's get on with the review: The Good:Casting: Logan Lerman did a great job as the title character. Be warned: There are spoilers within. Well, I hate to say it, but I wasn't a big fan of the original comic. I thought the comic jumped around way too much and was just too scattered. With that said, I felt the movie not only exceeded my expectations, but made me appreciate the source material more. I feel that the greatest asset of this movie was the relationship between Superman and Lex, especially Lex. I really like getting to see Lex "win." However, despite the hate that he harbored, h...
