Secret Wars is my essential for the week. I re read the first eight books this weekend and really enjoyed it in one sitting as opposed to the eight months or so that it has taken to publish. I think that in a few years, it will be looked back upon in a much better light when the delays and fact that ANAD Marvel already started have been forgotten.
I just re read all eight issues today and am really excited for the finale. The story works extremely well in one sitting. It's a shame that the delays have hurt the momentum so much. It'll be worth it though to have the consistent art throughout the story for when it's read sometime in the future.
Also probably picking up Squadron Supreme, Scarlet Witch, and Red Wolf. Their first issues didn't blow me away but I want to give them another issue or two before I decide to drop or not.
I agree with him on spoilers. I hate that we have reports on every single person cast in a film and who they are playing and leaked set photos over a year out on all these movies. Every detail of every image/video is analyzed and discussed. Articles are written that usually start out with spoiler warnings in the headings but gradually shift to put the spoilers in the titles themselves which are hard to avoid when you have news feeds customized to your preferences which will most likely pull on of those articles for you to flip through.
I miss having my first knowledge of a movie being the trailer released a month or two before the release and that be it.
@lagozzino: It will be a while. I bought all the BRPD and Hellboy books from the big Comixology sale a while back and still have a bunch of that to read before I jump into the new stuff.
