A Beginning to an End 0
This issue was pretty insane. A little hard to follow at times, Secret Wars #1 is jam-packed. Going into this without having read Hickman's run on Avengers/New Avengers but doing some research into the event, I was intrigued to say the least. The art does not disappoint at any point in the issue. This event is sure to be amazing. My personal favorite part was when the Punisher crashed Kingpin's end of the world party. You absolutely knew what was going to happen, and it felt like a fitting end. ...

This issue marks the beginning of an amazing journey! Taking in the story from Maddy's perspective is exciting and shows that you're not the only one learning the new environment and faces. The inner dialogue provided by Gage is hilarious and intriguing, and Maddy is lovable from the very first issue. I highly encourage sitting and reading at least the first few arcs (love Permanent Record, but Fear Itself tie-in has A LOT of character development)....
