Question, isn't it at all possible that Hope is not the target of the Phoenix Force? Aren't there other possibilities like Rachel and Madelyn or someone else entirely possible hosts?
Their connection is something in the past now (Rachel doesn't even have a major role, Maddie's dead again). The force left them for a reason. Not sure what the plot will be if the force took someone else. It's all about Hope now.
i don't get why people are making the generalization that she's coming back...since when has there been any official announcement that she's coming back. Although the cyclops/emma relationship makes me sick, i am certainly NOT looking forward to her returning if she is. Just because the phoenix force is coming back doesn't mean she will.....
Nothing wrong with speculating. She did merge with it the last time we saw her and the pieces that were in Rachel and the Cuckoos have return as well. Rachel even said "Mom?". They could just end it with an easy no she won't appear in this event. Obviously they want people guessing and wondering so they pick up the book.
X-Editors: You are correct that there has been no mention of Jean Grey leading up to AvX. Read into that however you would like. Can't say much more than that, I'm afraid.
