At the young age of five Bo, was exposed to a bright and blinding light during a solar eclipse, that rendered him completely blind. At the time he did not know it was caused the light was an dying alien, the last of his line. For the next twenty years Bo lived sightless, improving his other senses, and even learning everything he could about the eyes. That was ,until at last the alien returned.
It seem the alien, named Luminess, was from a race of people who follow a belief that light is power, and as he passed Earth all those years ago, he gave a little of his self to Bo, as he felt bliss near our Sun at such a moment. As such he came back to our planet, in the hope of finding the part he shared with Bo and take it back.
But on that rare occasion he found Bo alone in his apartment and what's more blind and felt pity on him, for he would never see the bliss of light, and it was his fault. As such Luminess made the ultimate sacrifice and gave Bo all his energy, and all his power, forever changing Bo's life for the second time. Immediately Bo received super powers unlike those of any mortal man, the power and glory of a bright light.
Along with all his new super powers, he also received the power of sight. Because of this he began putting his knowledge of eyes to the next level and became an Optometrists, and a darn good one too! He now spends his days as a simple goodhearted Optometrists, and by night a Champion for Good.
Powers:
Lighting Up: With a thought he can alter his appearance to a brighter form, including changing his hair and eye color as well as create an special uniform around him for battle.
Super Speed: To put it in basic form, he moves at the speed of light, in both traveling and in combat speed.
Super Strength: In light or darkness, he possess the ablity to easily lift eighty tons over his head and around ninety with stress.
Durability & Healing Factor: Not only his skin highly durable, capable of tanking most attacks, he can heal from major wounds in minutes, faster if he has to time to tend to his wounds.
Flight: His preferred way of traveling, he can fly at the speed of light.
Light Beams: From both his hands and eyes, he can project beams of light ranging from different degrees of heat and precision. From finite lasers to balls of energy.
Light Shield: Much like his beams, he create solid walls of light used for protection.
Light Constructs: Like his shields, Light constructs can be created in solid form, from various shapes and sizes.
Invisibly: Simply by shifting light he can render himself invisible.
Mind Control: By the creation of specific and random flashes of light he can hypnotize weaker mind into believing whatever he wishes.
Blackout: By the absorption of all light in an area, he can turn a place pitch black, where only he can see.
Illusions: By the altering of light he can make holographic representations of any object he chooses.
Portals: Any object that reflects light can be used as a portal or gateway into the Rainbow of light.
