@battle_forum_junkie: I agree with you there. I hope DC learns from the many mistakes they have made this year that fans are not their enemies and they need to throw them a bone from time to time.

Also anyone reads Superboy? Because there have been reports that Conner will be killed off and replaced with Jon Lane Kent (Lois and Clarks kid from the future). So is this another instance of DC mending fences with Lois and Clark fans?

Wait. Is this book canon on the New 52 or is it one of the little side books?

Well said. Supposing they don't absolutely botch the introduction, I imagine the roar for "bring back Cass" will double in intensity now that there's reason to believe it could happen.

As for the Superboy thing, I saw that. Some people don't know whether Lobdell was telling the truth. Others say he might have been for precisely the reason you mention -- though while it makes sense on some obscure level, as a person who's angry at DC for the Lois/Clark split, this news doesn't change my attitude towards them at all. It doesn't actually help the problem (well, the thing I perceive as a problem ^_^). I was even more interested in the suggestion that Supergirl is permanently leaving the Super-family for a different realm. I've seen Teen Titans suggested, and even the Lantern side of things. But it seems to have slipped under the radar, news-wise.

@lena_dante: It is a weekly book in canon that will last one year that according to Snyder will change the status quo of Batman forever (then again he says that all the damn time). To me it seems this book is going to fast track a lot of things fix some things they screwed up with Batman and bring in characters people want to see. I think DC is sucking up to fans for sales.

@br_havoc: Yeah, I'm really excited for the fact that things are looking up for us DC fans, I just really hope they don't misinterpret the characters they're bringing back.

@akbogert: To me if true its DC trying to say look people they will be together and look they will have a kid so you can read Superman/Wonder Woman it will not change the future. I do not know what is happening but I hope DC spends a large part of next year mending fences with fans they have lost over the past couple years.

killing off Conner does something very far of mending fences for me....it's more along the lines of burning bridges

@danhimself: I have only read Connor in 3 issues of Teen Titans and it was horrible. So maybe if they kill him off for a bit replace him with son of Kal and when he is reintroduced he could be handled better? Maybe that is wishful thinking I am feeling rather optimistic today.

I agree with you Batman needed to stay the same. The reboot really needed to happen to help Superman (which it has not so far IMO)and Wonder Woman. I think Azz has done an amazing job on Wonder Woman and most of his story could of been told in the old universe since JMS kind of ended his run rebooting Wonder Woman.

@ownagepants: That is a good point, Seems writers just fall into lazy storytelling. They think by killing off the character and replacing him they can create buzz and rebrand a struggling book then repeat the cycle with the dead character returning when the book need another boost.

They aren't mending fences. Every character can't come back at once, it takes time. That's why I didn't nerd rage about some characters not being in the New 52--yet. Watch, all will be well, including Wally West.

@the_stegman: I see your point and agree that in 5 years time the universe will be missing very few characters from the previous universe. Yet this still feels like mending fences I mean half of the stuff they have spoken about these past few days seems like they are trying to win fans back. From Harass saying that they do not want characters rushing into stable relationships yet but it will happen at the right time (they never even tried to say that before it was always the new 52 means new and exciting stories) to this. I would not be surprised if we hear that Wally is coming back by the end of the year.

Right now to me it seems DC is trying to get good PR for a change and actually treat fans with a little respect something they have failed to do this entire year.

Now people can stop complaining. Unless they change something that the Stephanie fans will start yelling that they ruined her like everyone else in the New 52. Then I will be more annoyed at comic fans.

Wait, so you're saying that people should be content either to have a character they love erased from existence, or "brought back" in a completely unrecognizable form, and that if they complain about either of those things you're annoyed at them?

@hart7668: Nah I doubt that she is coming back as Spoiler not Batgirl.

I don't think it's planned to fix anything, Batman has been very good over the last year. I personally think it's just finally doing what everyone's wanted.

Crossing my fingers for a return of Donna Troy, but I honestly doubt it. The day Donna comes back is the day I return to buying DC.

@johnkmccubbin91: I am a little bias, I will admit I have not been drinking the Snyder koolaid. I think he is a very talented writer that just is horrible at closing an arc and so far I think he has messed up a few villains and hurt them for future stories so that is what I meant by fixing some small issues like that.

@br_havoc: Fair enough, though I loved both the ending to Death of the Family, as well as the way he wrote the Joker, and he has been writing Riddler brilliantly so far. I did however find his Court of Owls story to be slightly overrated though.
